If you’ve made the journey before, you would have heard the word ‘Peregrino’ once or twice, as it’s the Spanish word for ‘pilgrim’.

Although many walk the same path, every peregrino experiences the Camino in their own unique way. This is Paula’s story ⬇️

She wanted her loved ones — both here and gone — to walk beside her. So what did she do? She packed them in her suitcase.

Well, not literally — but close. Paula sent four bandanas and a list of names, living and passed, to a dear friend, who lovingly embroidered every name by hand.

“I wanted everyone to walk with me, step by step. She did a great job.”

We made it to Santiago 🌟 This is my 10th time arriving in the square and it’s still the most incredible feeling in the world…

After 4 days of walking the absolutely exquisite Spiritual Variant Route between Pontevedra and Padron, today we hopped on a boat to get back onto the central route and finish our final day of walking to Santiago de Compostela tomorrow 🇪🇸

This has been our first time taking this path and we will most certainly be back! 🤩
