South Luangwa is the birthplace of the walking safari and famous for high leopard, lion, elephant + buffalo density along the Luangwa River. This itinerary balances classic game drives with guided walks + night drives for a complete experience.
✅Day 1: Arrival & First Safari Adventure
12:30 – Mfuwe Airport meet & greet. Transfer through park to lodge. En-route game drive – first sightings of puku, impala, elephant herds
14:00 – Check-in at riverside lodge/camp. Lunch + rest. Umoyo Bush camp or croc valley Camp style accommodation recommended for floodplain views
15:45– Afternoon game drive with professional guide. Focus: General game + big cats. Sundowner stop in the bush
19:30– Return for dinner. Optional night drive – best chance for leopards, civets, honey badgers

09:30– Breakfast + transfer to remote Umoyo Bush camp in malama . malama and nsefu is open, flat + excellent for walking safaris

15:45 – Afternoon drive + walking combo. Fewer vehicles = more exclusive wildlife experience
Evening– Dinner under stars. Stargazing – zero light pollution
