*1. They Laugh – But It’s Not Funny😂*
A hyena’s “laugh” is actually a sign of stress or excitement, not joy. The pitch can even reveal its age and social rank

*2. Matriarchy Madness🌝*
Female hyenas are the bosses! They’re bigger, stronger, and more aggressive than males — even the lowest-ranking female dominates the highest-ranking male.

*3. Super Strong Stomachs 💪*
Hyenas can eat bones, hooves, and even old rotting meat without getting sick. Their stomach acid is stronger than battery acid

70–80% of their meals come from hunting, not scavenging. They’re actually better hunters than lions!

Female hyenas have a pseudo-pénis, which they use to urinàte, mate, and even give birth — a very painful and risky process.

Each hyena has a different laugh signature. Scientists can identify individuals just by their giggle

Because they digest so much bone, their póop turns white and crumbly. They help clean the ecosystem this way

Hyena clans can have up to 80 members, and social rank is inherited from the mother — even cubs start off dominating lower-born adults.

Hyena cubs are born with teeth and will often fight right after birth. Sometimes, one will kill its littermate to get more milk.

Research shows hyenas have advanced math skills — they can “count” the number of opponents by sound and decide if it’s safe to attack or run.
