My visit to Hobart last week was full of surprises & delights... not least this nomination.

"This award recognises PTMs who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to assist others, particularly when it has involved helping clients in challenging situations. It could be acts of exceptional service, kindness, or dedication that significantly impacts others."

I was very humbled to receive this nomination, and although I didn't win the award, I am still feeling very appreciated for just doing what I do. 💕 Christie

How best to end a week in Hobart? Wandering the streets & smelling the (almost spring) flowers... discovering the horrific stories at the Female Factory... having beautiful fresh Tasmania sushi... before trying my hand at blending some gin. Don't mind if I do!

Tonight... I'll see what the Brook Street Pier twilight markets have to offer... followed by Salamanca markets in the morning. Then home 😟

I am in Hobart for the week attending the annual TravelManagers Australia conference, so won't be around much over the next few days to speak with you all about any existing travel plans... or any even more exciting new travel plans!

My travel weather luck has followed me down south though, with two gorgeous sunny days so far, and more on the way. I've been told that we may even get to experience the Aurora Australis over the next few nights, so have my fingers thoroughly crossed.

I'm breathing a little easier today... as this lowered status will hopefully mean that those booked to travel through the Middle East later in the year will do so with a tiny bit more confidence!

The fur seals were just as much fun as the penguins... on some days even more entertaining.

Watch to the end to see one smile at me. Seriously... if that's not a fur seal smile... I don't know what is?!

These penguins kept us amused for ages... chasing the newly fledged chicks into the water! 🐧 🐧 🐧 We were in kayaks... so I only managed to capture a few seconds of the fun.

Bet you think I've increased the speed of this... but this is real time!

Last night... we celebrated like the Argentinians do... with an asado. Just when we thought we hadn't eaten enough these past couple of weeks... we found out that we could!

Our hosts, Maya & Marcos (La Terracita Asado Experience) made us very welcome on their rooftop terrace in Palermo... and along with our fellow travellers... we made our way through seven courses!

Most items were cooked on the parilla (BBQ)... with a few other surprises along the way... including three great Argentinian wines... and our first taste of Fernet & Coke!

It was the perfect way to end this trip of a lifetime... one I'll never forget!
