Murphy Sports operates both as a sole provider and on occasions in conjunction with other likeminded and trusted companies and individuals. The business specialises in all matters surrounding mainly the sports of cricket and tennis but also can work with other sports as per customers desire. Coaching is provided for any age or level of players and tours can be arranged for groups of any level also both in Australia or worldwide.

Another Emerald Ashes ‘Test Match ‘ done & dusted with this years match hosted at the Emerald Showgrounds.

The game was a very evenly balanced affair with Pirtek Warriors getting over the line in the final session.

Thanks to organiser Yash Kapoor and to the local folk & kind sponsors who banded together to present the opportunity for players & coaches from the Central Highlands and elsewhere to play in this long format fixture.

Good to see the young cricketers in Tambo, Queensland once again. Two days teaching various skills and making sure the kids had plenty of fun along the way. Brilliant to see many of the kids we have seen in the past getting better and a whole stack of newcomers starting their cricketing journey.

Final day of our Western Qld coaching trip where we returned to Augathella for a day of cricket in the morning & tennis after lunch

Lance Roudenko from Upskill Cricket & myself ran a 3 hour cricket clinic at Meatant Park for 8 boys & girls followed by my tennis clinic on the primary school undercover court for 12 kids who lasted almost 3 more hours !

Thanks to Augathella Progress Association and to Andrew for arranging the event again.

We hope that by visiting country areas it gives local kids incentive to try various sports and stick with them into the future.

We enjoyed lunch at the excellent Catfish Cafe !

Another two big days coaching the local kids cricket & tennis along with Lance Roudenko & Upskill Cricket at Tambo.

Only did the one day last year so this allowed us to present more content to the participants where we held the sessions at both the Tambo Primary School facilities & at the sports ground for the afternoon cricket game on day 1.

We had 15 boys & girls have a go at both sports and we thank both the Tambo Cricket & Tennis Clubs for getting the kids together for the 2 days.

Huge thanks again to both Victoria Carroll & Alex Turnbull for hosting us & thanks to Tambo Tavern where we enjoyed staying and eating again this year.

Another excellent tennis & cricket day last Monday at Morven with 17 kids enjoying a full days skills session at the town’s cricket field & tennis courts.

Lance Roudenko from Upskill Cricket ran the cricket clinic whilst Brad Murphy handled the tennis with all of the children changing throughout the day to give them a taste of both sports.

Thanks to Morven Tennis Club & Progress Association for hosting us on the day and to Darcy Gadsby for organising once more.
