Our Sunset charter for one on Monday was for a lady from Miami who was celebrating having completed the Sydney Marathon the day before.

We included a complimentary bottle of Prosecco and cheese platter to congratulate her on the achievement

Sydney also threw in a spectacular sunset along the way.

Our two clients from Chicago 🇺🇸
USA who were provided by enjoyed their first full day in 🇦🇺 with a 3 hour harbour cruise aboard Too Up.

We avoided the unforcast high winds
by tucking into Taylor’s Bay and dropping anchor, totally out of the elements.

As our guests departed they said
“If this is the bar to start our Australian adventure, you have set it really high!”

Such a nice thing to say and all down
to the high level of service provided by my crew.

The rain has obviously turned everyone’s minds to warmer times ahead.

We are pleased to say that in a flurry of phone calls today we have taken 2 bookings for November, 1 for December and 1 for February.

We also have 2 ‘on hold’ enquiries for the first week of September and one for March!

So what we are saying is put all this wet weather behind you and plan your Summer events now as our available dates won’t last long.

Do you have a dream to learn to sail ?

Well the team TooUp Sailing may have the answer.

Our vessel does not heel over like a conventional monohull so you can learn the ropes without having to hang on as if your very life depended on it!

Even though we have two hulls we still have a nice turn of pace when under full sail.

One of our crew is a very experienced competitive race sailor, currently on a vacation from her normal duties to take part in the Whitsundays Race week on board Anarchy which is doing very well in the completion so far. See images!

Your other Skipper (yours truely) is retired UK Marine Police Officer, Australian commercial Coxswain and an Aus Sailing powerboat Instructor with years of commercial maritime experience.

So I think it is fair say that you are in safe and knowledgeable hands.

We have a full day learn to sail training session of 6 hours or a 30 hour live aboard session so you can also experience what it is like to sleep at anchor. Fully catered with course notes and one to one tuition provided.

I enjoyed a great guided tour on board Esmeralda today with a very smartly dressed Chilean Officer Cadet who was happy to share his experience of living aboard a sailing tall ship with 279 fellow crew!

The Midshipmen and women have a forward facing lower bridge office to plot all of their ‘course to steer’ calculations on paper charts using hand bearing compasses, sextants, astral navigation at night and speed over ground calculations.

That info is then passed up to the chief Navigator and Captain on the upper bridge who checks their calculations and if correct turns the ship to her course.

The Chief Navigator has the benefit of all modern satellite navigation systems.

They also climb the rigging at least 3 times a day to set or alter the sails so it is both a mentally and physically draining exercise.

Once qualified the Naval Cadet Officers will be posted to more modern ship of the Chilean Navy.

Come and join the crew of as we farewell the beautiful Chilean Navy tall ship ‘Esmeralda’

She departs Sydney at 4.00 pm this Saturday under es**rt from the Sydney based tall ship ‘Southern Swan’ plus firefighting tugs.

With the crew highly likely to be atop of the rigging as they sail away it is certainly going to be a display that you don’t want to miss.

Esmerelda is a training ship known as The Dama Blanca or White Lady is conducting a 155 day goodwill tour of the Americas, Australia and Asia and departs on Saturday for a voyage to Papeete, Tahiti.

She measures 113 meters long with four masts and more than 260 crew!

Join us as we witness her majestic departure and then if cloud cover permits a Sydney Sunset at around 5.30 pm.

Book a scenic harbour cruise on board Too Up to capture a Sydney Sunset and we will then drop you off at Wooloomooloo so you can enjoy a delicious meal with our partners kingsleys_woolloomooloo.

Their Terra&Tide 3 course menu is a perfect option costing $159 pp.

Book your cruise for up to 20 guests and we will sort out the meal costs once we know your numbers.

A 2 hour cruise costs $1,200 with the per person meal costs an additional extra. Available on 7th and 8th September.

Did you know that we also provide overnight charters for up to four guests.

We have two guest bedrooms with queen size beds and a shared bathroom with, a power shower, sink and toilet.

Quality Sheridan towels and of course bed linen included.

Our overnight charters include all catering and drinks and allow you and your loved ones a chance to disconnect from the stresses of life and re-connect with each other.

Your Skipper remains on board in their own private quarters.

You can board at a time to suit your schedule and our all inclusive cruise provides a leisurely sightseeing cruise, a night at a secluded peaceful anchorage and breakfast the following day.

Our overnight charters are perfect if you have friends visiting who you want to show around or if you are celebrating a special occasion (Father’s Day for example)
