"LOT Polish Airlines is set to launch direct flights from Warsaw to Hanoi, Vietnam! • The inaugural flight to the Vietnamese capital will take off on 31 March 2027. • Hanoi will become the fifth city in LOT Polish Airlines’ Asian long-haul flight network, complementing the existing connections with Tokyo, Seoul, New Delhi, and Bangkok.". Listed in today's Qantas Travel Insider "Surprisingly affordable places to visit right now", a place I have visited numerous times - "Krakow, Poland. A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1978, the mediaeval old town of Krakow is stunningly preserved – and often overlooked for other historic centres throughout Europe. Similar to the more popular Prague or Brussels (but far less expensive), the compact city is wonderfully walkable, saving you money on transport. There’s also a highly accessible street food culture in the city, where zapiekanki (local sandwiches) are stuffed to the brim for just a few złoty (prices start from about 20PLN). Don’t miss the free walking tours offered by locals who’ll lead you around the best vodka and pierogi spots in the city for a voluntary tip."

Wondering about TRAVEL INSURANCE and travelling via Dubai or Doha? Smartraveller has lowered its advice for Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and the UAE from “Do not travel (Level 4)” to “Reconsider your need to travel (Level 3)”, however Level 3 does not entirely remove risk for travellers. Standard policy terms apply, including the important condition that: "We may not be able to provide emergency assistance services in destinations subject to Level 3 or Level 4 advisories. This includes circumstances such as closed airspace or security restrictions preventing evacuation or repatriation. This condition applies regardless of whether the claim relates to the advisory or not.
