A moment of contemplation looking across the waters of Australia's southernmost marine park: Port Davey Marine Reserve. Hidden beneath this dark surface is a mysterious, biodiverse world of sea whips, sea pens, and many other curious creatures normally only seen in much deeper water. Captured by

Celebrating 10 years of sharing Southwest 💫 A milestone for our family‑run, Tasmanian‑owned business built on small‑scale, place‑led expedition travel — crafted always by care, connection, and the people who journey with us.

Pieter and Alice are grateful to every expeditioner and every crew member who have joined On Board over the past decade. Every adventure has shaped how we see this place, and how we continue to share it.

To mark the occasion, On Board is giving away our signature 4-Night Port Davey Expedition for two into Tasmania’s remote southwest. Travel by seaplane, step aboard Odalisque III, and spend your days shaped by time, water, and place, with nights of dark sky stargazing.

Alongside the prize, we’re sharing highlights from our 10 years of storytelling. Quiet, unscripted experiences that stay with you long after you leave.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your support over these magnificent 10 years. To find out more, head to the website via the link in our bio.

Bull kelp is a wonder of Southwest Tasmania. It is culturally significant for Tasmanian Aboriginals and ecologically important, growing up to 25cm a day. We find thick kelp beds in Port Davey, anchored to rocks, or strands strewn across wild southern ocean beaches.
