Sri Lanka surprised us in the best possible way. 🇱🇰

We planned this trip about a month before arriving and travelled anti-clockwise - that was the trick. It meant we managed to get all the trains we wanted, including the scenic routes.

A few things we learned along the way: cash still matters outside big cities, trains are part of the experience (not just transport), connectivity was hit and miss, and a bit of preparation makes everything smoother.

Sri Lanka isn’t a place to rush. It rewards flexibility, curiosity and slowing down.
