As the title says, it was about breasts and eggs (and sperms). However, it was much more and deeper than I’ve expected and I enjoyed so much that I’ve read in English after reading in Japanese. Unfortunately, funny rhythms of Osaka dialect in Japanese was lost in English but I found Natsu(main character) more confident and her personality stronger in English. Also, I found this writer’s ways to describe & connect between each incidents are very special in Japanese which were somehow hard parts for me to read through in English. Anyway, happy Monday☀️

May is my favourite time to be in Japan and here is my new tour next May called “The Road Less Travelled”. It’s all about where I’d like to take my fellow travellers in this beautiful new green season. It includes my favourite temple, my favourite shrine, my favourite castle, my favourite historical walk, my favourite nature walk, my favourite sports to watch, my favourite ramen and more. Come & join me!!

Why do you travel overseas…?
Sometimes I ask this question to my fellow Aussie travellers. Australia has almost everything (beaches to mountains, cafes, festivals, parks, museums, ramen…) then I have to ask myself the same question about Kyoto. It’s hard to express well but I enjoy coming back here but I also enjoy getting out of here too. Anyway, Ookini (thanks) my parents for starting their new family life in Kyoto long time ago😊

Till the end of this Tuesday 4 Aug. with Qantas, you can book return economy class to Tokyo from Sydney $1,250. Lately, it’s hard to find it below $2,000 with JAL & ANA. I was going to update our website and send our irregular newsletter with my new 16 days walking tour in next May but I don’t think this will happen before this Qantas sale ends… If anyone wants to know about my new walking tour (more like City Lights & Alpine Trails tour plus Spirit of Japan tour divided by two and add seeing Kamogawa Geiko & Maiko Dance in Kyoto and Tokyo Sumo Tournament) and book ✈️ using this Qantas deal, please direct message me. I like value for money and this picture shows my favourite way to spend $20 in Sydney this winter 😊 **Nichigetsudo Miso Butter Ramen**

Happy August 😊
Thanks to JNTO (Japan National Tourism Organization), two lucky people can win a return economy ticket to Hiroshima Japan. Entry is free and open till Sunday 9 Aug. Good luck🤞

More than its name suggests, Hiroshima is a city of warmth, resilience and quiet renewal. Beyond the harbour, forested gorges like Sandankyo cut through the mountains, where clear rivers wind between towering rock walls. In the city itself, okonomiyaki is a local institution, layered and grilled rig...

⚽️ Two more World Cup matches ⚽️
Whether Spain or Argentina win, I’ll never forget this WC because it’s the first one I’m enjoying with my little boy. It’s helped him learn more country names and flags. His favourite team is Norway 🇳🇴 and his favourite player is Eirling Haaland. Probably Haaland will stay in his mind the way Maradona did with me a long long time ago. It’s a beautiful game. Have a good Thursday everyone 😊

Have you been watching the World Cup?
I’m very happy to see both Socceroos & Samurai Blues had a good start. I used to be much more crazy about this every 4yrs event/festival. It was in 1994 in Dallas USA where I saw my first one in the stadium South Korea vs Germany. Japan wasn’t qualified… 32yrs on in Dallas, Samurai Blues didn’t give up and tied with the Netherlands and Japan is one of the regular nation in this event. So far in this World Cup, no Asia qualified team has not lost👍 I’m really looking forward the match Socceroos against US this Saturday💪
