As the weather warms up, our flying starts to turn south — towards Tasmania and the beautiful islands of Bass Strait.
And one place we can’t wait to return to is King Island, with our first departure for the season on 02 October.
There’s something very special about this remote island: wild coastlines, rolling green countryside, secluded bays and that wonderful feeling of being a long way from the everyday. Then, of course, there’s the food — fresh local produce, famous King Island cheeses, crayfish and memorable dining showcasing ingredients grown, caught and produced right on the island.
Our King Island Escape gets out and explores too, from dramatic Seal Rocks and the ancient Calcified Forest to Pennys Lagoon and Cape Wickham, home to the Southern Hemisphere’s tallest lighthouse.
Beautiful scenery, fabulous food and plenty of island character. Our first departure is 02 October — if King Island has been on your list, now is a very good time to get on it.
