There's something special about sitting over a coffee while my clients relive their safari memories with me. Listening to the excitement in their voices as they talk about seeing their first rhino, watching a litter of lion cubs at play, or sharing those once-in-a-lifetime family ventures in a hot air balloons over the Serengeti which reminds me why I love what I do.

Hi, I'm Michelle Smith, owner/operator of Africa Calls Travel & Safari.

Africa isn't just a destination to me—it's my spiritual home. I was born in Zimbabwe, spent most of my life in South Africa, and moved to Australia in 2008. I started my travel business as I wanted to share my love and passion for Africa with others.

I specialise in creating personally curated safari experiences that reflect your interests and travel style. My itineraries showcase the magnificent areas of Southern and East Africa for travellers from Australia and New Zealand. I believe travel is more than seeing incredible wildlife and landscapes; it's about supporting conservation, uplifting local communities through tourism, and experiencing the true heartbeat of Africa.

When I'm not planning African adventures, I'm at home with my husband Trevor, who was also born in Zimbabwe, and our three much-loved fur kids—Billie, Molly and Waffles. If I'm not outdoors or hiking, you will find me in the kitchen cooking a meal and conversing with loved ones.

James had recently lost his wife and always wanted to visit the Kruger National Park. His daughter, Melanie contacted me and asked me to create an itinerary for her dad and son. We chose Thornybush

Wes and Trudi Jenaway celebrated their 50th birthdays by taking on a bucketlist. Their bucklist was succesfully completed, except for the Zambezi White Water rafting part. Thats was due to the river being to high because of the exceptional rains.

After more than 16 years in business Leaf Bean Machine , Brad and Fleur decided to seek adventure shortly after selling their highly successful business.
