One of my favourite and most amazing places to shoot, where the vast Kimberley sky meets the ever-changing expanse of tidal flats and shallow turquoise waters. As the tides move across the bay, they create mesmerising patterns, colours and reflections, transforming the landscape throughout the day.
From soft blues and turquoise to deep ochre and warm golden tones, Roebuck Bay offers an extraordinary palette of colours and textures. First light at Lago di Braies 🔥❤️
A very early morning start to catch that magical moment when the first rays of sunlight touch the summit of the Gran Vernel summit, slowly bringing the surrounding peaks to life. The reflections on the lake are simply out of this world — vivid autumn colours, perfectly still water, and those iconic little wooden boats sitting quietly on the lake, completing the perfect frame.
A true photographer’s paradise!
And yes… it was icy cold that morning! 🥶 But standing there with our little group of photographers, waiting patiently for that first light, was absolutely worth every frozen finger.
Some mornings, you just have to get up early. 📸

Outback sunrises are the best 🔥🔥🔥
There’s something truly special about a winter sunrise in the outback. Standing in the cool, crisp morning air of Karijini, watching the first light slowly spill across the ancient red cliffs, there’s a sense of stillness that is hard to describe. The landscape seems to wake up one layer at a time, with the deep reds and oranges of the gorge walls catching the early light while the last shadows retreat. It’s cold, quiet and often completely silent — a moment to simply stand there, breathe it all in and realise how privileged we are to experience places like this. This is Karijini in winter — raw, peaceful and unforgettable.

Wooramel Station ✨💥
I had no expectations the first time we decided to stop for the night at Wooramel Station many moons ago, but ever since then, we've been staying there every time we travel up and down the coast. Definitely one of those WOW-factor places and a photographer's little paradise and their fresh brewed coffee and home made cake selection are pretty good too! 😉😇
Nestled along the banks of the dry bed of Wooramel River, the Retreat is located approximately 120 km south of Carnarvon and 300 km north of Kalbarri on Western Australia's Coral Coast. This working pastoral station is a hidden gem surrounded by ancient river gums, rugged landscapes and abundant birdlife, Wooramel River Retreat is also a photographer's dream, offering beautiful sunrise and sunset light, star-filled night skies, and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it difficult not to fall in love with.
