The weather has certainly kept us on our toes, and when conditions get a little challenging, keeping our passengers safe, comfortable and enjoying their time on the water always comes before getting the camera out. 📸

But we’ve still had some beautiful encounters along the way! Here are a few of our favourite shots from the last couple of trips. 💙🐋

What a morning out on the water! 💙

We started the trip with a very relaxed pod of two humpbacks cruising south, giving us a few beautiful tail throws along the way.

As we began making our way back towards Sydney Harbour, things really started to heat up! 🔥 We came across another pod of two that treated us to some fantastic breaches and tail throws! 🐋💥

Then, just when we thought the show was over, we found yet another pod close to home — and they absolutely turned it on with an incredible display of double tail slaps! 🙌🐋🐋

Three different pods and plenty of action made for another awesome morning off Sydney! 🌊

Spring has officially arrived in Sydney, and the whales certainly knew how to put on a show today! 🤩

🌊 9:45AM TRIP
An incredible start to the day with a relaxed pod of two humpbacks travelling south. They treated us to plenty of beautiful tail action as they cruised along their southern migration.

🔥 1:30PM TRIP
Things started off nice and slow with an extremely chilled solo whale, but with just 30 minutes left in the trip… BANG! 💥

The energy completely changed!

We witnessed an unbelievable 6 head lunges in a row, followed by breach after breach after breach! 🤯🐋

Four of those were absolutely MASSIVE full-body breaches within just 10 metres of the boat! Seeing a humpback launch its entire body out of the water that close is something you simply don’t forget.

And just when we thought the show couldn’t get any better, our whale finished things off with an amazing display of pectoral slaps! 👋🐋

What an absolutely phenomenal way to welcome the first day of spring! 🌸☀️

After an incredible run with our trusty RHIB Adventure, we’re saying goodbye to the little boat that helped us create so many unforgettable days on the water and welcoming something much bigger and better to Sydney Whale Whisperer!

Introducing Port Venture — our brand-new 18.5 metre whale watching vessel! 🐋🌊

With more space, more comfort and wheelchair accessibility, Port Venture is going to take the Sydney whale watching experience to a whole new level.

And that’s not all… 👀

We’re working on something completely different to anything else in Sydney — an experience we’re incredibly excited to introduce very soon. As soon as the weather warms up, we’ll be ready to show you what Port Venture can really do! 🔥

It’s a huge new chapter for Sydney Whale Whisperer, and we couldn’t be more excited to take you all along for the ride.

Adventure may be saying goodbye… but Port Venture is just getting started. 🐋⚓️

What a day out on the water! We were treated to some fantastic whale behaviour up near Curl Curl, with several breaches, head lunges, and even a few impressive pec slaps keeping everyone entertained.

Combined with beautiful weather, calm conditions, and an awesome group of passengers on board, it made for a truly memorable day offshore.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us today—we loved sharing these incredible encounters with you!

Our 9:45am trip headed out in cool, calm conditions and spent time with a pod of 2 humpbacks cruising north. On the way home, we were lucky enough to encounter another pod of 2 whales right beside North Head, where we witnessed several incredible breaches and some very close encounters.

The 1:45pm trip was one for the books. Travelling all the way up to Curl Curl, we experienced what was honestly our best trip of the year so far. The highlight was an incredible double breach, followed by 40+ solo breaches, head lunges, pec slaps and tail slaps. The whales put on a non-stop performance that had everyone on board amazed.

To top it all off, the conditions couldn’t have been any better, making for an unforgettable afternoon on the water.

We were treated to perfect offshore conditions today. Throughout the day we encountered several single humpback whales making their way along the coastline.

Our first trip featured a couple of spectacular breaches from a relaxed and cruisy whale, along with a Brown Albatross that seemed determined to stay by our side for much of the journey.

The afternoon trip was just as entertaining, with plenty of tail throws from another whale and a friendly pod of dolphins stopping by to say hello.

Days like these remind us that every whale has its own personality and story to tell.

We kicked off today’s whale watching adventure by saying hello to our mate before heading offshore!

Conditions were absolutely perfect at the start of the trip, although the swell and wind gradually built throughout the day. We were lucky enough to come across a lone humpback whale and a pod of dolphins at the same time — always a special sight out on the water.

The humpback treated us to two spectacular breaches before settling into a relaxed cruise north, using the swell to help push it up the coast on its migration journey.
