Botswana Tourism Organisation, on behalf of the PALEKA Community Trust, invites 100% citizen-owned companies, consortiums, joint venture partnerships and other duly incorporated entities to tender for the development and management of the Ngoma Campground within the Chobe National Park.

Compulsory Site Visit: 18 September 2026 at 0900hrs
Tender Closing Date: 15 October 2026 at 1000hrs

Ministry of Environment and Tourism in Collaboration with Gaborone City Council , Botswana Tourism Organisation,Hospitality and Tourism Association of Botswana and other stakeholders gathered today on the 4th September 2026.

Their main objective was to keep Gaborone clean, well-maintained , appealing and attractive to both domestic and international tourists.

A clean and we'll managed city is an important component of a successful tourism destination.The appearance, cleanliness and general upkeep of our public spaces contribute significantly to the image and experience of our city.More importantly , they reflected how much we value the places where we live , work conducts our businesses and welcome visitors.

Todays campaign was more than a clean up exercise , it is about instilling a culture of ownership, stewardship and pride in our city and our business environment. Amongst the officials were Gaborone City mayor , Deputy Permanent secretary in the Ministry of Environment and Tourism.

Lets today mark the beginning of a sustained culture of cleanliness, ownership and stewardship, not only in Gaborone but across our cities and communities

The Minister of Environment and Tourism, Honourable Wynter Boipuso Mmolotsi, will this morning officially launch the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park project.

The project is funded by the European Union under the NaturAfrica Global Gateway flagship initiative for Transfrontier Conservation Areas in the SADC region.

Partial funding is also provided by the Dezzy Foundation through the Global Wildlife Fund.
The project is being implemented by African Parks in partnership with the IUCN and in collaboration with the Government of Botswana.
