🐘 Khwai • Savuti • Chobe Photographic Excursion: 7 Nights

Wildlife, birds, diverse landscapes and the opportunity to experience some of northern Botswana’s iconic wilderness areas through the lens.

These are two separate photographic experiences, in different regions of Botswana.

Whether you’re a beginner picking up a camera with fresh eyes, an enthusiast wanting to improve your wildlife photography, or an experienced photographer looking for dedicated time in the field, we want to understand what you’re looking for.

Both experiences are being developed around photography, wildlife, nature and experiencing Botswana at a slower, more intentional pace.

You don’t always need a 600mm lens to make a great wildlife photograph. 📷

This moment was photographed with a Canon 90D paired with a 70–200mm lens.

Long lenses are fantastic when your subject is far away, but they aren’t always the best choice. When wildlife comes closer, a shorter focal length can give you more flexibility to capture the animal within its environment, tell a wider story, and sometimes creates a completely different perspective.

The key isn’t always having the longest lens, it’s knowing when to use what you have.

Would you choose a 70–200mm or a 600mm for a sighting like this?
