Have you ever wanted to know more about Mma Ramotswe's Botswana? Episode 2 in the exciting new Mma Ramotswe podcast is now available. Listen now and be transported between McCall Smith's fictional world and the true Botswana.

In this latest episode you will meet Unity Dow- one of Botswana's most remarkable women, and resident of Mma Ramotswe's home village - Mochudi. We're sure that Mma Ramotswe would be great friends with Unity if they were to meet in real life.

Unity Dow is an internationally recognised democracy advocate, a human rights activist, an author, and former high court judge, foreign minister and education minister. And to top it all off, she is also a cattle farmer from Mochudi, just like Mma Ramotswe`s father Obed Ramotswe. In this episode she discusses her passion for reading, the culture of Botswana, and how women's role in the society has changed since we first heard about Mma Ramotswe in 1998.

Production: Interview by Mats Ögren Wanger, Music by Mikael Rosen, Introduction by Ednah Rosen. Photo of Unity Dow by Pieter Hugo
