It’s stylish, cosy, and the food is actually really good!

They’ve turned an old building into the café, so it has a nice bit of history to it too.

A surprising “room” at Planet Baobab
プラネット・バオバブ、お気に入りのお部屋😍

After the fire in 2024, Planet Baobab at the gateway to the Makgadikgadi Pans is finally coming back to life.

I was happy to see its unique and charming atmosphere returning.

And my favorite “room”? Probably the toilet! 😄

2024年の火災でメインエリアを焼失した、マカディカディパンの玄関口にある「プラネット・バオバブ」。

あの伝統的でかわいらしい雰囲気がどうなるのか心配でしたが、復旧工事もようやくひと段落したようです。

一番おすすめのお部屋は”お手洗い”かな。

World Relays 2026：男子4x400m決勝・ボツワナチーム 金🎉×4🥇🥇🥇🥇　（ダイヤ入り！）Congratulations!
　
ボツワナ・ハボロネで開催された今大会、このチームの強さはもはや驚きではないけれど、期待を裏切らずやってくれました！

スタジアム全体が水色のコスチュームと旗の熱気に包まれ、ファイナルの盛り上がりは半端ありませんでした！

まさにボツワナ・建国60周年にふさわしい、歴史に刻まれる瞬間。
そして2027年世界陸上（北京）への切符も、その手に。

2026年の世界リレー、開催地はなんとボツワナ🇧🇼です！（5月）
The 2026 World Athletics Relays are heading to Botswana!

実はこの国、前回の世界大会でしれっと金メダルを2つ獲得。
今や陸上界の注目株です。

そして今回の大会、ちょっとスケールが違います。
なんとメダルにはダイヤモンド💎（人工ではありません）がすでに埋め込み済み。
それもそのはず、今年はボツワナ建国60周年！

あとはアスリートが“発掘”するだけ。

海を見たことがないボツワナ🇧🇼くん
思わぬところで平和偽装🇧🇼に利用されててびっくり。

ボツワナの旗を掲げた貨物船が、水曜日の午後にイランを出港しホルムズ海峡を離れたと報告されました。世界の海事当局は、これがボツワナの偽登録を行って世界の海を浮遊している17隻のうちの1隻であると疑っています。

主要な通信社であるAFPは、海上監視モニター「MarineTraffic（マリン・トラフィック）」のデータを用いて、「ハイ・ロン1号（Hai Long 1）」として知られるこの船が中国資本でありながら、ボツワナの国旗を掲げて航行していると報じました。この船はイランから来ており、水曜日までに問題の多い同海峡の通過をほぼ終えていました。

A Botswana-flagged cargo ship was reported as having left the Strait of Hormuz on Wednesday afternoon en route from Iran, in what global maritime officials suspect is just one of 17 ships floating around global oceans with fake Botswana registrations, Mmegi has learnt.
