The Halifax Ghost Walk

The Halifax Ghost Walk A 1 hour 40 minute walking tour through Halifax's haunted streets. North America's oldest ghost walk. Group bookings are available (10 person minimum).

The Halifax Ghost Walk is a 1 hour and 40 minute walking tour through the original city blocks of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Stories of ghosts, pirates, forerunners and devils from the folklore of Nova Scotia. With a good dose of the city's history to give the stories context. It is an interesting, thought-provoking, & fun way to spend part of an evening in Halifax. The stories we tell come from Nova S

cotia's rich history of folklore, tales past down through families, or stories collected by our tour guides themselves. We start at 8:30pm from The Old Town Clock on scheduled nights and conclude at the end of a quiet, creaky & secluded wharf at the harbour’s edge. I arrived at the old town clock tonight about 19h50. There were about 50-75 people from the local Nepalese community having a vigil and community support event to remember the people who died in the floods and landslides this week.

It was powerful.

I couldn’t help but mention the vigil and the disaster when I was telling the story of the Halifax Explosion.

In my minds eye I could see the video of the floods and the photos of the explosion at the same time.

If you are able, please donate to help the relief efforts.
