New destination and flights direct from Calgary to Guadalajara (Mexico)🌶️ with WestJet this winter! Starting on December 7, 2025 the flights will operate 2x per week from Calgary. Connections from Kelowna, and Kamloops. This service runs until April 12, 2026.

It’s known for tequila and mariachi music, both born in Jalisco, the state of which Guadalajara is the capital. Guadalajara’s historic center is dotted with colonial plazas and landmarks such as the neoclassical Teatro Degollado and a cathedral with twin gold spires. The Palacio del Gobierno houses famous murals by painter José Clemente Orozco.

The Marcus Portrush, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, has opened in July 2025 on the North Atlantic coast in Northern Ireland. Is Greenland on your travel bucket list? Goway has introduced 4 new itineraries and 11 additional excursions for Greenland. These trips focus on Greenland's unique landscapes, Inuit culture, and Arctic experiences.

The new Greenland packages include a long weekend itinerary in Ilulissat, with airfare from Reykjavik, Iceland (summer). Travellling to Mexico or Cuba? Review the following restrictions to ensure compliance with local regulations and to avoid delays or penalties. These restrictions apply across all entry points—land, sea, and air.

Electronic ci******es and va**ng devices – Mexico and Cuba
It is strictly prohibited to bring electronic ci******es, vapes and similar devices into the country.
Mexico: The possession of a single device may result in fines exceeding US$1,000. Importing multiple devices could lead to fines over US$100,000 or possible jail time.
Cuba: Any unauthorized devices will be confiscated upon arrival.

Laptops and tablets – Mexico
Each passenger may carry only one laptop or tablet into Mexico.
Carrying a second device may result in a 19% tax on its assessed value.

Drones – Mexico
Travellers must declare all personal drones, regardless of size.
Drones weighing more than 250 g (8.8 oz) must be registered with Mexico’s aviation authority, the Agencia Federal de Aviación CivilExternal site which may not meet accessibility guidelines and/or language preferences. (Spanish-language website).
Proof of purchase is required; drones valued over US$500 will be taxed.
Without proof of purchase, authorities will estimate the value and charge accordingly, which may cause delays of over an hour.

A new direct train service connecting Prague (Czechia), Berlin(Germany), and Copenhagen (Denmark) is set to launch on May 1, 2026. The initiative is a joint effort between Czech Railways (ČD), Deutsche Bahn (DB), and Danish State Railways (DSB), and will operate using ČD’s ComfortJet trains.

The service will allow passengers to travel between the three capitals without changing trains, with additional stops planned in key cities including Dresden and Hamburg. The connection will offer two daily return services. Journey times are expected to be approximately 7 hours between Berlin and Copenhagen, and around 11 hours between Prague and Copenhagen. This is a substantial improvement over the previous travel times, which often exceeded 14 hours.

The ComfortJet train, designed to travel at speeds up to 230 km/h, will be used for the route. Each train will have 555 seats, including 99 in first class. Facilities on board include Wi-Fi, a dining car, adjustable seating, a cinema area for children, and space for bicycles along with wheelchair lifts make the train accessible to all. The high-tech window technology onboard will boost mobile phone connectivity, allowing passengers to stay in contact whilst enjoying the scenic ride. .

Visiting Wolfsburg, Germany? Be sure to visit the "Zeithaus museum", a multi-brand car museum. There are 260 cars from 60 different brands to admire. During the daily opening hours, usually from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, visitors require a valid admission ticket or an online or mobile phone ticket, which they can use to enter the Autostadt site at the designated entrances.
