42 spammy robocalls today on the phone. Literally every 6 minutes. Was the phone number spoofed?? Is someone using the phone number to spam people? Urgh. How disruptive for everyone. If you call and it doesnt go through or you get an automated response, please leave a msg or text so that I can return your call asap. The service should let normally assigned numbers come through without issue though. Sorry for the inconvenience but these scammers are out in force today. I'll hopefully get it sorted with my carrier shortly. I may need to change the company number over it.

It's ridiculously busy this week but I do have openings on Wednesday after 430pm for a tour. Magee, Middle Chain, and the beautiful 1rst Chain in Ponoka are high and just waiting for you to discover. A trip to the First Chain Lake in Ponoka County. We paddled in a breeze, saw lots of birds, a pudgy beaver, explored the reed maze, laughed, and had fun. What a great way to spend an afternoon. This is what I needed. Some paddle therapy.

We are doing it again in August! Special group package to save money, get you paddling, meet new friends, experience sunshine and sunsets, discover more lakes.... Bonus? Glow in the dark kayaking too!

We will be paddling 4 lakes in 5 weeks within Lacombe County. We supply everything you need and give you basics before guiding you onto the water.

Excellent for friends, families, and photographers. See eagles, pelicans, all sorts of warerfowl, and beavers. Maybe even catch a glimpse of deer, moose, and foxes too! Beginner friendly.

Tuesdays Aug 4, 11, 18, 25, Sept 1
Wednesdays Aug 5, 12, 19, 26, Sept 2
Thursdays Aug 5, 13, 20, 27, Sept 3
Evenings all run 6pm-8:30pm

Limited spots. 10 people per group.
$250 includes stable kayak, pfd, paddle, safety equipment, waterproof phone case, waterproof bag, and basic instruction.
Spots fill up FAST.

Blue sky, light breeze, ready to paddle at Alix. Likely find some showers later but not too worried. Sometimes you just got to suffer a few raindrops to remind you how good the sunshine feels. Of course if weather turns hostile, we will come to shore as we dont mess around when it comes to storms. This is Alberta, you can set your clocks to the cloud cover every afternoon.
