To keep this a friendly, welcoming, and inclusive space, here are a few rules we’re sure you’ll agree make a whole lot of sense! 😉

1. Respectful
• Bonjour Québec pages are for positive interactio

n. Negative comments (comments that are crude, harmful, obscene, violent, hateful, threatening, deceitful, slanderous, or discriminatory) will not be tolerated, nor will any type of agitation.

• Content that people may find offensive or that exposes individuals or groups of people to hate or contempt for reasons of origin, race, language, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, or physical or mental disability is a hard no—don’t even think about it.

• Respect privacy. Avoid sharing personal information—yours or other people’s—publicly (for example, phone numbers, email addresses) and write us privately if you have a personal issue.

• All your comments will be read and considered, we promise! There’s no need to post the same message several times.

• Writing in all-caps on the web is like yelling (unless you’re writing an acronym). PLEASE DON’T YELL (😉) and please avoid strings of special characters (such as !!!! # # #*** !), which are subject to interpretation.

2. Topical and trustworthy
• Express yourself as clearly as you can. It’s hard to answer if we don’t understand what you’re trying to say.

• Our field of specialty is tourism in Québec. When commenting, stick to the subject of the post, and please don’t ask questions involving other areas of expertise. We don’t have all the answers.

• Check your sources. If you put a link to a site and we can’t confirm it’s authentic or credible, we may delete your post.

• You can share your favourite things and places if they’re related to the subject of the post. But please, nothing that’s off topic.

3. The fine print
• If you want to share a picture, text, or music that is not yours, make sure you have the owner’s consent before you do.

• Don’t make any comments that encourage or refer to illegal acts.

👀 Look, but don’t disturb. Admire, but don’t get too close. Here, nature whispers… slow down, breathe, and open your eyes wide. With a little patience (and a lot of silence), you might witness:

🐻 A mama bear strolling with her cubs

🐧 Playful puffins perched high on a cliff

🦌 A shy deer at the forest’s edge

🌸 It’s the last weekend to enjoy “FestiFleurs” at La Belle de Coteau-du-Lac, but the celebrations continue with “Sunflowers in Bloom” starting August 14! Between photo ops and flower picking in the fields, the scent of the “Festilunch” sizzling on the grill is irresistible — a feast made with fresh products from the farm. Then it’s off to the Village des Écluses for a paddle adventure by kayak or SUP, available for rent.
📍 Tourisme Montérégie

🧀 Conquer Mont-Ham, then hit the Cheesemakers Circuit "Les Têtes Fromagères" to load up on local cheese before heading home!
📍 Tourisme Cantons-de-l'Est

👨‍🌾 50 hectares of nature in the heart of the city, gardens, a mini-farm, and a tropical greenhouse — that's Laval’s Centre de la nature! Then head to Ferme Marineau to pick your own flowers or berries, and cool off with an ice cream or beer made from the farm’s own harvest.
📍Tourisme Laval

🫐 Suspended walkways with views of the Mistassini and Ouasiemsca falls, hiking or biking trails, whitewater rafting, kayaking, canoe camping… there’s no shortage of options at Parc régional des Grandes-Rivières du lac Saint-Jean! Before heading home, stop by the ÉCONOMUSÉE® at La Chocolaterie des Pères de Mistassini to uncover the story behind their famous chocolate-covered blueberries and other sweet treats.

🌠 Look up, the stars are putting on a show! Like every summer, the Perseids light up the sky with their trails of shooting stars. This year, the peak activity is expected during the night of August 12 to 13, a celestial event you won’t want to miss.

To experience the magic away from light pollution, head to places where darkness reigns and the sky feels infinite. It's right this way

🏝️⛺ Camping on an island means escaping it all, immersed in unspoiled landscapes, surrounded by water and soothed by nature. From the moment you dock, a sense of freedom takes over, and slowly, you begin to disconnect. No cars, no crowds, just birdsong, sunlight dancing on the water, wind whispering through the trees, and the crackle of a campfire: now that’s a vacation!
