Fun day out catching lake trout on the inland lakes. The bite was pretty steady in the morning and by lunch they all sucked to the bottom in the 50-70 foot range. I had a beat up Reel Goby laying on the floor that I made from scrap plastic. I did one cast with it and managed to get a decent sized lake trout. I don’t think it was luck. These trout feed heavy on sculpins this time of year and most of our local fisheries are pretty loaded with them. Try the Reel Goby out for yourself at www.outdoorjunkys.ca

Boated some really nice fish on the reel goby this morning while my client ran the live bait program. It’s crazy watching walleye hammer the reel goby in the inland lakes that are full of sculpin. Light constant twitches along the bottom was the way to get bit. Most fish followed it the whole way in and bit under the boat. Www.outdoorjunkys.ca
