We carefully consider age-appropr

iateness and safety when choosing costuming, choreography, and music. We believe in frequent communication, transparency, and learning from dance families like you. Costuming, photos, tuition, and more are spread out amongst monthly payments to make for an affordable dance experience. Classes are structured with professional dance syllabi so your family gets the most for their investment. We instruct toddlers to adults, and recreational dancers to competitive dancers. We are home to a large, award-winning competitive team, receiving top-ranking awards, international scholarships, and recognition for best in style and choreography. We are thrilled to provide examination classes, where your dancer can work towards assessments in various styles. We also offer camps, workshops with renowned dance professionals, and birthday parties.

Congratulations to those dancers who participated in ADAPT jazz and tap exams today!

Dancers worked hard all season long learning and rehearsing exercises, refining their technique and artistry, and learning to talk about their craft through terminology. Additionally, these dancers have further developed and demonstrated determination, work ethic, goal-setting, professionalism, and so much more.

And now, you can add this achievement to your résumé. Should you go into the dance field, employers will have a deeper understanding of your strengths and exactly what you are capable of!

We are blown away by the response to VIP registration already! Many classes are beginning to fill, and some have reached 50% capacity in just 24 hours! VIP (returning) families, you still have three more days of early access before registration opens to everyone on Friday!

✨Nicole Doerr Highest Scoring Competitive Dancer Scholarship✨

We are honoured to continue celebrating the legacy of Nicole Doerr through the Nicole Doerr Competitive Scholarship. This award recognizes one part-time and one full-time competitive soloist who achieve the highest average mark throughout the season.

Nicole and her mother, Sally, played an instrumental role in helping shape and strengthen our competitive program. Through their passion, knowledge, and generosity, they introduced innovative training opportunities and inspired so many dancers within our studio community. Nicole’s sudden passing left a tremendous impact on the dance world, and we are committed to keeping her memory alive and honouring the lasting mark she made on The DanceRoom.

Congratulations to Aenea (pictured) and Leyah (not pictured) for winning the Nicole Doerr Competitive Scholarship! Each dancer will recurve $375 towards next year's tuition!

🎓This one is always a hard one to write…

As we celebrate our graduating dancers, we celebrate the years and the moments that brought them here.

For so many families, dance has been woven into the rhythm of daily life. Weekly classes, costumes in closets, bobby pins in every nook and cranny, long weekends, carpools, good luck hugs, quick meals between classes… And somehow, before you know it, this chapter begins to close.

But what these dancers gained along the way reaches beyond the stage. Dance taught them, commitment, teamwork, resilience, discipline, and confidence. It taught them to push through challenges, support those beside them, and believe in themselves even when they felt unsure. It gave them friendships, memories, and a place outside of their house that they could call home.

It has been a privilege for us as instructors to be part of your story. Whether we've had the joy of watching you grow from a tiny dancer into a remarkable young adult, or whether you joined us for just a few short years and allowed us to be a part of the final chapter of your dance journey, each of you leaves a lasting impact on our studio and our hearts.💜

What a beautiful way to close out your competition season at Kick It Up.

We saw growth in every single performance. From the moment you stepped on stage, there was more confidence, stronger technique, and a deeper connection to your movement and your storytelling.

We saw dancers who trusted themselves.
We saw teammates lifting each other up.
We saw genuine joy, passion, and a true love of dance (and of each other).

That is what makes us the most proud.

Our fall schedule is officially here and we couldn't be more excited!

We've spent a lot of time on this one, and we've built it with your family in mind… More back-to-back classes, exciting, new additions, all with the same structure, environment, and instructors that help dancers grow with confidence!

Our season is split into two terms:
🍂 Fall (Sept-Dec), the perfect time to get started, build skills, and fall in love with dance.
❄️ Winter (Jan-May), where dancers work towards exciting and memorable moments like recital and exams

Whether your dancer is new or returning, fall is always the best place to begin! Spots fill quickly each season, so don't wait and mark your calendars:
📅 VIP registration for returning families opens May 11
📅 New families can enrol as of May 15.
