There’s something about making eye contact with a lion that is hard to put into words. No dramatic action, no roar—just a quiet, intense stare that seems to stop everything around you.
I photographed this beautiful lioness in Kenya, and the combination of the light, those incredible amber eyes and the dark background created one of those moments where everything just came together.
For me, wildlife photography is often about patience—waiting for that brief moment when the light, expression and connection with the animal all align.
