Just on the outskirts of Perez Zeledon we have this beautiful Paraiso Quetzal Lodge in the San Geraldo de Dota... This is the place, if you want to see the World Famous Quetzal Bird. I recommend the guided tour because those birds are very hard to find on your own... But its not impossible so if you are up for the challenge you can lace up your boots and grab ur camera and set off on your own to try and find it. They have numerous walking trails that take you through some of the most beautiful rain forests you have ever seen..The trout I had for dinner was very delicious ( sorry i didn't get a picture, I ate half before I realized I should have taken a picture) but while you wait for your dinner you can relax in the Hummingbird gardens... So many hummingbirds...Top notch service and great and friendly staff.

The spicy cantina is open and most definitely the spiciest bar in town. Someone spent lots of money inside. Beautifully decorated, lots of big screens, breezy, nice view, parking. Stop in and say hello to Johnny and his staff. Lots of fun to be had.

Craving a taco? On the road to the stadium across from banco popular is this little taco place. 3 tacos in the photos was 3800 colones, and was nice quality meat. When Taco Bell won’t work, this is a good option. They have beer and drinks.

Get outside and play. Am absolute wonderful place to get some exercise in a beautiful natural environment. Indoor gym, Olympic pool, trac, soccer, basketball, volleyball. Nice playground for kids, bring a picnic and enjoy. We are lucky to have such a well kept facility in the city of Perez Zeledon.

The long awaited Cascada Retro is open! The building is beautiful, the food was excellent, and the service on point. Top end liquors, a nice wine selection, a sushi bar, nice views and even a small cascada. On the bypass next to the new B&M, be sure and check them out.

Best of is proud to recommend the very best of burgers. Fresh Angus meat, bread baked onsite, with the finest finishes. Best of PZ, best of the General valley, best I have found in this country. Look for the black Foodies sign on cemetery road. It’s a big burger, the mini is perfect.

Papa de Paramo, a long time favorite is back open and the restaurant is beautiful. Everything we tried was good. They are not quite finished with the hotel, but all the construction is first rate, and the pool, bar, and restaurant are open and looks the best ever. Load up the family….
