IMO, Cubans welcome tourists from all part of the world and we understand we need these multinational resort chains to accommodate the visitors but the is a bit embarrassing to say the least.

UPDATE:
After several failed attempts to restore the energy supply, Cuba is finally light up bit by bit. Some locations reported being with no power from Friday night until today afternoon.
The forecast is very scary since generating plants are very old and might break down again in the near future due to a higher load then they were originally built for. All that , combined to lack of fuel look like odds are still against people refrigerating their food, charging their phones and cooking.

Massive blackout has left the entire country with no power for more than 12 hours. Cuba’s energy production at bare minimum. A combination of low fuel imports and dire conditions of generating plants is causing Cubans to suffer the worst energetic crisis in Cuba’s history. The government announced to schedule more long blackout from now on until they come up with something.
Blackouts have always being a recurring issue in Cuba. A centralized economy not capable of providing enough generating fuel, alternate power generation strategies or update/ improvement of older power plants has kept Cuban’s lights on and off since the 1960’s.

🚨BREAKING🚨 Protests in different cities of Cuba since yesterday. This is not as massive as July 11th 2022 but it is hard to really know how things are going since internet got shut down almost everywhere in the entire island.

How hard is to make bread?
The millenary food has become a scarce product in Cuba lately. Due to the horrible financial situation the country is facing , importing goods and food has become almost impossible. This time, the lack of flour is making Cubans rage, and innovate!From pumpkin flour to yuca roots powder, Cubans can’t seem to achieve the 4-ingredient equivalent of bread without whole wheat flour. Sad reality is that many families relied on the government food allowance that is becoming ever so minuscule, and now bread is out. The picture below is actually how the bread given by the government looked . Of course , resorts have great bread and some private bakeries can provide acceptable quality bread when they can find flour. Like other commodities, accessing bread will have to be a well planned and important activity.
Run and enjoy a toast now that you can !!!! LOL

Well guys, Team USA destroyed team
Cuba in the semifinals of the World Baseball Classic championship. Besides the USA’s outstanding batting,constant protests in the stadium chanting freedom for Cuba and 3 people jumped into the field (not together) with signs against the dictatorship were some factors in the game to be noted.

And just like that , Cuba made it to the semifinals in the World Baseball Classic Championship defeating Australia 4-3.
Next stop Miami where they will face the big teams (Venezuela, USA,Japan or Dominican Rep.).
There will be a sea of Cuban people in Miami for this, in favor and against . There will be a little bit of everything. Stay tuned .

Some tips that will help you get by while vacationing Cuba right now. (share with your friends).
1- Bring US dollars . Other currencies are accepted but the rate will be much lower.
2- Bring 1 dollar bills if you plan to tip the resort servers.
3- If you like to treat yourself with chocolates, candy etc, make sure you bring your own from your country. You won’t find those easily in Cuba.
4- Stay at a resort. Right now is better to stay in an all-inclusive resort. Blackouts, bad transportation, lack of food make staying at a b&b much more difficult and less enjoyable.
5- If you like helping others and have stuff that you want to give away or simply get rid off, contact us for our tour to the neighborhoods where you can enjoy different locations while helping other by giving presents.
6- Bring your mosquito spray.
