We were hoping to post a reel to support a new restaurant here, that's been the talk of the town lately.
We went last night and expected good things!
But at the end of the evening we decided that we're not going to post about it after all.
Was the food bad?
ABSOLUTELY NOT!
It was 10/10.
Sadly, it was the service that made us no longer want to share this particular place with you all.
This is a common occurrence unfortunately with many eateries here.
It's about more than just the food.
We've worked in the hospitality industry for over two decades and have spent many years supporting small, local venues on the island.
We believe in authentic content, really showcasing businesses that not only love what they do, but also provide a true appreciation and interest for their customers.
You know, the ones who essentially pay their bills?
The definition of hospitality means "The friendly, generous, and welcoming treatment of guests, visitors, or strangers."
Many businesses often forget that it's not just tourists that frequent their premises either, but also locals, who will tell others if they've had a good experience with them or not after they leave.
Sadly we're starting to notice more and more venues that are not up to scratch in our opinion.
We know the industry is tough, and we know the living conditions here are too, but poor customer service is a big no for us, regardless of anything.
So, we want to know which restaurants have offered you both excellent food and service here on the white isle.
We're talking about staff who engage with you, smile, check on you during your meal and show a genuine interest in your experience.
Places where you're treated like a person and not a number.
Let us know in the comments so we can support those who deserve the recognition and custom, and so others have better options of where to visit when they're here.
