It might not be the most famous side of the island, but it’s probably the one that surprises people the most when they discover Gran Canaria by bike.

The northwest has something special.
Quiet roads, endless valleys, charming little villages and that constant feeling of exploring a hidden corner of the island.

Thank you Amar and Luis. It was a real pleasure showing you this special side of Gran Canaria.

Quizás no sea la vertiente más conocida de la isla, pero probablemente sí la que más sorprende a quienes vienen a descubrir Gran Canaria sobre la bicicleta.

El noroeste tiene algo especial.
Carreteras solitarias, barrancos infinitos, pequeños pueblos con encanto y esa sensación constante de estar explorando un rincón escondido de la isla.

Thank you, David, for trusting I’M PEDAL to reach your long-awaited Pico de las Nieves.

It was your first time on the island and it was a real pleasure to share so many kilometres together on the bike.
We were lucky with a wonderful day, sunshine and incredible views across the rest of the Canary Islands. One of those rides that truly stays with you.

I hope the journey back to your home city of Madrid isn’t too cold… You know you have a home here whenever you feel like coming back to ride.

Era tu primera vez en la isla y ha sido un auténtico placer compartir contigo tantos kilómetros sobre la bicicleta.
Nos acompañó un día espectacular, con sol y una visibilidad increíble del resto de las Islas Canarias; de esos que se quedan grabados.

We can’t think of a better way to celebrate Canary Islands Day than on the bike, together 🇮🇨🚴‍♂️

On May 30th, we’ll meet at Saroje Shop (Hotel Amadores View) to share a coffee, ride some great roads in the south of the island and enjoy the day as a community.
 Back at the hotel, we’ll wrap it up with pizzas and a toast to our island.

Some stories start with a ride, others start with a crash.

Last year, Ben came to Gran Canaria to ride with I’M PEDAL. Just a few days before our planned ride, he had a serious crash and broke his collarbone. Surgery, recovery, weeks on the island without really being able to ride and what started as a planned ride slowly turned into a friendship.

One year later, Ben is back. This time on the bike: healthy, strong and finally riding the roads he couldn’t enjoy back then.

Some rides are fast, some are hard and some are simply worth the wait 🤍🚴‍♂️

Algunas historias empiezan con una salida en bici, otras empiezan con una caída.

El año pasado, Ben vino a Gran Canaria para rodar con I’M PEDAL. Unos días antes de nuestra salida, sufrió una caída y se rompió la clavícula. Operación, recuperación, semanas en la isla sin poder rodar… y lo que iba a ser una simple salida en bici acabó convirtiéndose en una amistad.

Un año después, Ben ha vuelto. Esta vez sobre la bicicleta: sano, en forma y por fin rodando por las carreteras que no pudo disfrutar entonces.

Algunas salidas son exigentes, otras rápidas y otras simplemente merecen la pena la espera 🤍🚴‍♂️
