A 3rd Classified Growth, explored by electric Méhari. From Château Lagrange’s oldest vines to the highest point of the appellation, past the rows where the estate works on biodiversity, then down to the cellars for a tasting of three w**es.🍷

If you had one hour in the Médoc, would you rather spend it in the vines or in the cellar ?

She spent years training for a career in law… then swapped courtrooms for w**e cellars.

Marina grew up near Lyon, with family ties to the Bordeaux coast near the Dune du Pilat. A degree in business law came first, followed by a Master’s in w**e marketing, with internships in Saint-Émilion, Sauternes, and Pomerol along the way.

She’s been guiding with us since 2019, helping guests experience a private w**e tour in Bordeaux from behind the wheel.

What does she love most of all? Living her passion for w**e every day, and sharing it over a glass, in Bordeaux.

If you could only visit one Bordeaux region, which would you pick : Saint-Émilion, Sauternes, or Pomerol?

We stopped by Chocolaterie Origines , a bean-to-bar chocolate maker at Darwin, on Bordeaux’s right bank. Manu, one of the co-founders, walked us through the process. From tasting raw chocolate at different stages, to choosing our own inclusions, to molding our own bar to take home.

A good reminder that a private w**e tour in Bordeaux still leaves room for detours like this one!

What’s the most unexpected stop you’ve made on a trip built around something else entirely?

A walk through Château Bellefont-Belcier, Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé. The estate sits on the Côte Pavie slopes, on clay-limestone soil, a few minutes from the village. The château itself dates to 1803, built on a site with roots back to the 18th century.

Harvest season is underway across Bordeaux. Every estate works to its own rhythm, grapes are picked block by block as they ripen, not on a fixed schedule.

It’s one of the reasons late August through October is such a good window for a private w**e tour in Bordeaux : you’re seeing vineyards at work, not just walking through them.

Would you rather visit during harvest chaos or the calm of the off-season? Tell us below.

2010 in a glass 💕

Black fruits, mocha, chocolate, and a delicate hint of mint.
A velvety texture, refined tannins, and the timeless elegance of Pessac-Léognan.

Have you ever tasted it?

A great lunch at Château Durfort-Vivens, set in a beautiful environment 😍

Classified as a Second Growth in 1855, the estate is now run by Gonzague Lurton. It stands out for its commitment to biodynamic farming and for thoughtful w**emaking choices, including the use of clay amphorae for part of the vinification process.
A lovely balance between tradition and a more modern approach, very much in line with the spirit of great Bordeaux w**es. 😁

In the Garonne River, in Bordeaux, certain silhouettes still emerge at low tide… Those of ships scuttled in August 1944, when nearly 200 vessels were deliberately sunk to block the estuary.

Today, these remains serve as a reminder of the violence of war, but also of the approaching end of the Occupation.

On the occasion of the Armistice of May 8, 1945, these silent traces invite us to remember. 🤍
