Looking for something to do this weekend?

We definitely recommend checking out the exhibition of the Linklater Collection at the Sir Duncan Rice Library in Old Aberdeen.

There are paintings by Scottish Colourists J. D. Fergusson, S. J. Peploe and Leslie Hunter, a landscape by Catterline-based painter Joan Eardley and flower paintings by Anne Redpath. We're very lucky to be able to see all this for free in our city!

And why not tack on our tour of Old Aberdeen while you are over there?

The new exhibition from University Collections is Aberdeen Artworlds, marking 50 years of the Linklater Collection of works by some of the most important Scottish artists of the 20th century.

February photos drop: It was the month when Aberdeen made NATIONAL NEWS for not seeing the sun. But rain, wind and (eventually) sun, the SFT guides were there to show folks around Aberdeen city centre and Old Aberdeen.

For the third year running, we were delighted to take part in the University of Aberdeen's Discovery Day, leading free, family-orientated mini tours round Old Aberdeen. Hope to see you at the next one!

Earlier this month we played host to a group of 35 (mostly) retired police officers, hailing from from Germany, Austria, the USA, Ireland, Scotland, England and Sweden.

It was a cold and wet day but we were delighted to welcome them back to Aberdeen their second year in a row. Next year they are debating between Stirling or Northern Ireland.
