After a fantastic week onboard MS Mendula, it was time to say goodbye to Makarska and make my way down the coast to Dubrovnik — possibly one of the most scenic bus journeys! 😍🚌🌊

What a fantastic week onboard MS Mendula! ⛵️☀️

We’ve had the most wonderful time exploring Croatia on Riviera Travel’s Split, Hvar & the Delights of Dalmatia yacht cruise.

Starting and finishing in beautiful Makarska, our adventure took us to Bol, Vis, Hvar, Korčula, Jelsa, Milna, Trogir, Split and Omiš—each one offering something completely different! 😍

The week has been filled with gorgeous scenery, fascinating walking tours, crystal-clear swim stops, delicious food, w**e tasting, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, and plenty of time to explore these wonderful islands and coastal towns. 🌊🍷✨

Small-ship cruising really is such a special way to experience Croatia—you arrive somewhere new each evening, visit places larger ships simply can’t reach and enjoy those magical swim stops along the way.

🌍 Solo travel doesn’t have to mean travelling alone! ✈️

When people hear “solo holiday”, they often imagine eating alone, sightseeing alone and spending the entire trip by themselves—but that certainly doesn’t have to be the case!

Travelling solo could mean joining an escorted tour or cruise where you arrive independently but share the experience with a friendly group of like-minded people. You still have your own space and freedom, but there’s company whenever you want it—and often some wonderful new friendships along the way! 🥰

This photo from one of my previous trips to Thailand is a lovely reminder of the wonderful people you can meet while travelling. You might arrive not knowing anybody, but leave with amazing memories and friendships that continue long after the trip has ended! 🇹🇭❤️

Back to work and back to beautiful Croatia! 🇭🇷☀️

This time I’ll be back onboard this beautiful ship, MS Mendula, for Riviera Travel’s Split, Hvar & the Delights of Dalmatia yacht cruise. 🛥️🌊

✈️ Happy National Travel Agent Day! 🌍

People often think being a travel agent is all about looking at gorgeous hotels and dreaming of sunny destinations… and while there is definitely some of that, there’s also a lot happening behind the scenes! 😂

It’s researching destinations, comparing flight times, checking room types, organising transfers, answering all your important questions and making sure every part of a holiday fits the person travelling.

No two enquiries are ever quite the same—and that’s exactly why I love it! 🥰

✈️🌍 September is all about solo travel! 🌍✈️

Solo travel is one of the biggest growth areas in touring and adventure travel—and I can completely understand why!

Have you ever really wanted to visit somewhere but found yourself waiting for somebody else to come with you? Perhaps your friends or family can’t get the same time off, don’t fancy the same destination or simply have different travel plans.

The good news is that travelling solo doesn’t have to mean travelling alone! You could join a friendly escorted tour, set sail with a group of like-minded travellers or simply enjoy the freedom of choosing an adventure that’s completely yours.

Throughout September, I’ll be chatting about all things solo travel—the benefits, the worries, the barriers and, of course, plenty of fantastic holiday ideas and inspiration! ✨
