We are currently in the process of refurbishing an existing steel frame building in Martock. New composite roof panels installed on existing zed purlins. We have also poured a new insulated reinforced concrete floor to improve energy efficiency. Mezzanine floor to follow, once the masonry walls are built we will install steel beams with timber joists between.

Our ironworker can shear, crop and punch holes to make endplates and cleats.
We try and do as much in house to provide a great service for all our projects and customers requirements.

A few photos of steelwork for residential projects we have been involved with recently. Our projects can range from fabricating and erecting of new build properties to supplying local builders beams and lintels for house renovations. We can also offer on site fabrication for more complex work such as staircases and balconies.

PH Hardwill are looking to employ in a number of roles.

1. Welder/ Fabricator. Role will involve the fabrication of structural mild steel sections for the use in our steel frame buildings. The applicant must be a competent MIG welder. Role will also include the use of gas and plasma cutting, mag drilling and paint spraying. Applicant must be able to read fabrication drawings and work to a high standard of accuracy. If successful, the applicant would be coded to conform to CE marking. Based at our Works in Blackdown, Beaminster.

2. Metal Worker. Role will include producing all cleats, plates and bracings for the use on our buildings. Applicant will be required to use Ironworker, drills, saws and paint sprayer. In house training will be given to the successful applicant. Applicant must be able to work to a high standard of accuracy. Based at our Works in Blackdown, Beaminster.

3. Digger Driver/ Groundworker. Role will include driving excavators between 1.5T to 16T machines. Work will include excavation of strip and pad foundations, levelling sites, drainage works and all associated works. Experience of working to levels and setting out would be advantageous. Based on our building sites, approximately within 1 hour of our works.
