Sometimes a customer comes in and their choices just blow you away!! I forgot to get the lovely lady's name, but doesn't she have the best taste?! These will all be for a granny square top (with the solid for the edging and ribbing).

Eeeeeek!! Look at those colours!! 😍

Honestly, the new yarn from is LUSH (I know, I know, I say everything is lush, but luckily, I tend to, with only a few exceptions*, only stock yarn that I think is lush, so you know you're getting the best!).

It's a really soft blend of Falkland Wool, Lyocell and Cashmere. Yes people, you read that right, cashmere baby!! 😍

And the shades are just gorgeous. Really deep jewel shades plus some lovely neutrals. Perfect!

And with a rather lovely 400m per skein, you're getting a whole shawl out of one of these! But if you fancy going for a garment, there are some beautiful patterns in the new book too 😊

With all the new yarn arriving for the Spring/Summer, we've had a bit of a move around with some of the yarns to make things fit, and the lush Croft Aran is now underneath the ColourLab Aran - and it's looking fab! 😍 We love a bit of Shetland Wool here! 🐑🐑🐑

Don't forget we're open today until 5pm, and then shut tomorrow and Monday for the Easter Bank Holiday. Then back open Tuesday as normal!

So, this is what it feels like to not open on a Bank Holiday, eh?! I'd like to say it is blissful, but I'm already waiting to see if a black eye is forming after the Sconchling ran and jumped on my head in bed this morning, and then a play fight between the two of them broke out right next to my ear 🤣🤣

Good job I love them, eh?! 🙈🤣🤣

If you came to the Grand Opening Party, you'll have seen these gorgeous samples in the flesh, but in case you missed it, here are two garments from the rather lush Windswept book from Rowan 😍

They're made in the new Cotton Trio, which is a blend of cotton, alpaca and wool, so it's cotton, but extra lush!!

It comes in a really bold colour palette too, perfect for Spring/Summer tops - that orange is lush (and has the rather adorable name of 'Tiger' 🤣)

And the new yarn keeps on coming!! 😍😍

Rico Painted Power Aran has been hugely popular this winter, so we were super excited to have this new summery version arrive!

Painted Power Cotton DK is a gorgeously light yarn, made from a blend of cotton, wool and acrylic, and a has a really delicate 'lofty' feel and a lovely floofy haze. Good description, eh?!!

It comes in 6 shades (which when you look at them in the ball look fairly similar 😳) but when knitted or crocheted up are all actually quite different!

There are some really lovely patterns for this in the new LoveWool magazine (I'll tag it in the pic) and Angela is knitting us up a little shawl from a cute pattern we found on Ravelry - and she's holding it double with the Make it Blümchen. Can't wait to see how it turns out! 😍

Isn't the Stone Washed looking lush?!

Jo had a bit of a rearrange of the DK after we'd moved it all around for the party. And it's sooooo pretty! 😍

Don't forget we aren't open today (Sunday) but we'll be back open on Tuesday for your yarny fix. But of course you can order online 😁 we've got plenty of yarn still in the sale, and we've added a few more bits to make room for the Spring/Summer yarns. We will be open on Easter Saturday as usual, but closed for the rest of the bank holiday weekend, so make sure if you need your yarny fix for the long Bank Holiday weekend, you get your yarn by Thursday, or come and visit us on Easter Saturday for an Egg-Cellent day of Yarny shopping! So you know how I love a knitting-in yarn right now...
..because who doesn't love to jazz up a favourite yarn with something that gives it a bit of extra fabulousness?!

So I might have squealed just a *little* bit when Marcus, our Rico rep, showed us this amazeballs yarn 🤣🤣

Make It Blümchen is the most beautiful yarn, with gorgeous little sequins - which happen to be flower shaped - that are surprisingly soft! So you can knit or crochet it held double with your favourite yarn, and add the most delicate sparkle!! 😍😍

Yes I know, amazing, huh??!

Wow. Just wow! What an absolutely flipping AMAZEBALLS day 🎉🎉🎉

We're pretty sure it was our busiest EVER party day (and we've had a few!!) and it was honestly SO much fun.

We hope you all enjoyed yourselves - the games were certainly accompanied by happy squeals (and well done to everyone for joining in with yelling 'YARN ALARM' every time it went off 🤣🤣🤣)

A massive thank you to our amazeballs team, Jo and Angela definitely worked their Yarny brains hard today (especially working out yarn for the MAL - and that was just for mine and the Sconchlet's choices, let alone everyone else's!!) and also Jenni who worked yesterday with us to get everything set up!! 🥰

Mr Sconch and I are very much looking forward to a day off tomorrow (don't forget we're not open Sundays for a while!!) 😍

We're busy moving the shop around (to fit in some chairs for those wanting to cast on for the MAL which also launches tomorrow!) and the new yarns are going out as I write this 😍

I've had a crazy day of sorting through stuff. Stuff that I've accumulated over however many years, but now needs sorting before we move house (whenever that may be - but there's so much stuff we need to get a head start on it!). So I'm completely exhausted!! Much of this stuff is yarn, so I'm also de-stashing! (There's a FB group and everything - I'll put a link to it in the insta bio!)

But just before I close my eyes though, I thought I'd give you a quick reminder that there are only FIVE SLEEPS TO GO until our Better- Late-Than-Never Grand Opening Party at the shop. Woohoo!!
