We are in need of a volunteer grass mower!
Our previous volunteer, Nick, did a fantastic job for us and we’d very much like to thank him.
Nick has now stood down and we need to find someone to take on this task. If you could help us with keeping the grass in the Community Garden mowed, please get in touch.
It does not have to be done on a particular day or time, just as needed. We have a good quality mower that is regularly serviced. If you know of anyone who might have a bit of free time to help us, please forward this message to them!

Really sad to see the end of another local independent business. After 60 years, Merediths in the shopping centre is closing down. Such a brilliant traditional hardware shop.

Following the RHS Badminton show Sodbury in Bloom was offered some of the plants that the RHS had used. We went to Badminton yesterday to collect them and came away with about forty plants which are now in the Community Garden. You will be seeing some of them around the town.
Thank you to Badminton for making collection arrangements and tothe RHS volunteers who sorted the plants and helped us load them in the car.

🕰️ What a fantastic start! 💚
It's only been a few days since we launched the Preserving Our Time appeal and, thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we've already raised over £1,200 towards restoring Chipping Sodbury's much-loved Clock Tower.

To everyone who has donated, shared a post, offered ideas, volunteered their time or simply helped spread the word... thank you. Every single contribution is helping to build momentum for what will be a long-term community effort.

This campaign is about so much more than fundraising. It's about preserving a landmark that has stood at the heart of our town for almost 150 years and ensuring it remains there for generations to come.

This is just the beginning. Over the coming months we'll be holding community events, working with local businesses, applying for grants and sharing plenty of opportunities for everyone to get involved.

Whether you've donated £5, shared one of our posts or simply told a friend about the appeal, you've already become part of this story.

Thank you for believing in Preserving Our Time. Together, we'll protect the heart of Chipping Sodbury for future generations. 💚🕰️

If you'd like to support the appeal or find out more, you can donate here:

And if you're unable to donate, sharing this post is one of the biggest ways you can help us reach more people.

Our clock tower may not have been struck by lightning but it needs your help! After nearly 150 years at the centre of Chipping Sodbury life, the clock tower now needs an estimated £160,000 in restoration work to the surrounding building and the clock itself. Please donate whatever you can to this important project: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/save-our-clock
