It’s less than 2 weeks until one of Cumbria’s biggest and best food and drink festivals! And it’s right here in our lovely local town, Cockermouth! ✨

The festival kicks off on the evening of Friday 25th September with food, drinks and live music at the street party in Market Place. Then the fun continues on the Saturday and Sunday with producer’s stalls 🧀 on Main Street.

With loads of activities for all the family including live music 🎶, street theatre 🎭, fairground rides 🎡 and expert cooking demos 🧑‍🍳, you won’t want to miss out! And it’s free to attend!

“We have been to a couple places now and this is where you want to be. There are facilities, its easy to find and the host is friendly. The views in the morning are exceptional. I would highly recommend as your base of operations.”

We’ve had some lovely reviews for our pods recently, including this one for Wigeon! ✨

“We had a brilliant time staying at the Wigeon pod and can’t recommend it enough. The location was wonderfully peaceful — a proper escape from the everyday hustle, with a real sense of calm around the whole site.
The camping facilities were excellent throughout our stay. The washrooms in particular were spotless — genuinely one of the cleanest we’ve come across at a campsite, and well maintained the entire time we were there.
The pod itself was comfortable and well set up, and it made for a really relaxing break. Overall, a lovely, well-run site and a great experience from start to finish.”

“Just back from another lovely stay. If you want a peaceful location in the Lake District then this is your place. Perfect location for wainwright bagging. This is our go to place in the lakes, the staff are so welcoming and on hand if needed, situated on a working farm it offers the perfect escape. Badgers den has everything you need for your stay it is always well presented on arrival with a welcome pack. Looking forward to our next visit.”
