I was out of the country when the NATS fiasco started.

Just because I'm away it doesn't mean you aren't looked after. When I go away there's always 2 or (or 3 if they're part time covering) looking after all my customers.

This is a testimonial my customer Debbie shared who was due to fly on Wednesday morning. Thanks so much Emma and also my colleagues who offered to help as well if she needed it. Teamwork makes the dreamwork.

"What an eventful week it has been - all started on Tuesday lunchtime when the news hit about all the grounded flights due to NATS issues. It is ok I thought our flight is Wednesday. My trusted Michelle Wilson, Travel Counsellors was on her holidays but as always was checking in - Emma her trusted partner in crime was covering, she chatted with me on Tuesday and said she would keep an eye on my flight also. Feeling reassured went to bed excited to be off on holiday. 1:10am flight cancelled. Rebooked by EasyJet to fly from BRISTOL - that was amended again half
an hour later to the next night Bristol again and we had to get there and still leave our car in Luton for a return flight. Now this is where using Travel counsellors kicks in - by just gone 6am Emma is on the phone working out a solution - Michelle also on the ball on FB keeping up with events. By 9:30am we have flights moved a week, upgraded to half board and now counting down to the holiday again - what can I say - They are superstars"

I'm now back off my holiday in Lake Garda. Thank you to all of you who kindly sent me over enquiries and waited for me to come back. I'm now working my way through them all as quickly as I can. I will be working at the weekend as there were quite a lot of them and I'll be in touch as soon as I can. 😎

We headed towards the public beach end of Desenzano. Years ago it was where the locals came to do their laundry.

Desenzano feels like a mixture of lots of places. If you like Sorrento you'll probably like here. 💗

Sirmione - Just stunning 😍

Stunning Sirmione.

We took the 20 minute ferry from Desenzano to Sirmione. It's a very popular day trip and at 7 Euros return a bit of a bargain!

Sirmione is very different to Desenzano. Desenzano is more of a port and working town (though very pretty) and Sirmione seemed more touristy and crowded, but it was still gorgeous. It reminded me of Amalfi. I'm really glad I went as it was beautiful and a nice day out. Top tip... if you want to get the first ferry back in the afternoon be sure to queue early as a lot didn't get on it and had to wait in the hot sun.

A lovely day spent in Milan with our nephew and his girlfriend. We had such a great time catching up.

We were lucky enough to get a whistle stop tour by locals amd visit their home with their beautiful cats. And Italian trains.... they put ours to shame!
