This December, the extraordinary ICEHOTEL in Jukkasjärvi will be recreated for its 37th edition, with artists from around the world coming together to transform thousands of tonnes of natural ice from the Torne River into incredible art suites and spaces.

Every year is different, with the hotel taking on a completely new form before returning to nature in spring. This year’s creations include The Emperors Suite, featuring hand-sculpted penguins, Skogsrå, inspired by Swedish folklore, and The Cold Descent, where guests can step into an ice-cold pool.

This week’s air traffic issues have been a big reminder of how important it is to pack smart hand luggage. If a checked bag is delayed, having a few essentials with you can make all the difference.

Here are some key items to keep in your cabin bag:

🛅Travel documents, passports and any visas
🛅Medication and basic toiletries (within liquid limits)
🛅A change of clothes and underwear
🛅Phone, chargers and power bank
🛅Valuables and important paperwork
🛅Swim wear
🛅A light jumper or scarf, plus socks for overnight flights

🇬🇷💙 MORE THAN ONE ISLAND? WHY NOT?

Sometimes one week in Greece simply isn’t enough…

One of the things I love about planning holidays is being able to combine different places into one trip. A few nights in Corfu Town before heading to a villa, island-hopping between Kefalonia and Ithaca, or pairing Lefkas with a few days on Meganissi. 🌊

You could explore the contrasting sides of North and South Corfu, discover more of Kefalonia, or take the ferry across to beautiful Ithaca.

And if you fancy seeing a little more of the Sporades, Skiathos, Skopelos and Alonissos can be combined too. 🌿

It doesn’t have to be all about islands, either. Add a few nights in Athens, explore the mainland by car, or venture into Epirus for mountains, villages and some of the less-visited corners of Greece.
