Fantastic opportunity to see the rutting stags at the nearby wonderful Bainloch Deer Park. Great idea to have early openings, and of course their café is a must for delicious food and drink and gorgeous views of the deer and countryside. All this within less than 10 minutes drive of our Whitecroft Farm's Myrtle and Rose Cottages ... we still have some availability this Autumn and into Winter, October, November and December as well as bookings for 2027. We will be opening from 07:30am to take in the sights and sounds of The Rut on Sundays in October (4th, 11th, 18th and 25th) and Sunday 1st November

Wrap up warm and bring your camera and/or binoculars

Food served in the Bistro from 8am

£10 entry fee before 10am

Closeby to Whitecroft Farm's Myrtle and Rose Cottages on the way here from Dumfries, just off the A711. Another interesting historic building, free to visit.

Highly recommended! Eat these delicacies either on Kirkcudbright Harbour or take a trip over the bridge, take 1st left and travel about 8 minutes to the wonderful Dhoon Beach to eat your scran! Delicious 😋

The wonderful Bainloch Deer Park 8 minutes drive from Whitecroft Farm's Myrtle and Rose Cottages ... lovely café to watch deer too, as well as a fun escape room! Highly recommended to our guests!
