We hope you are keeping cool in this gorgeous sunshine ☀️!

We have just returned from Switzerland and Switzerland was everything I hoped for and more. Dave is already a huge fan but I wasn’t expecting to fall in love with the destination as much as I did ! 🇨🇭

In just a few days we experienced pristine lakes, spectacular mountain scenery, charming car-free villages and more adventures than I could have imagined. From glacier walks and mountain railways to gondola rides, husky trekking and breathtaking alpine views, there was always something new to discover.

Even in summer, the higher mountain villages offered a welcome escape from the heat, making it the perfect combination of adventure, scenery and fresh mountain air.

A destination that proves Switzerland is so much more than just beautiful views. I would highly recommend it for a something different in the summer! ❤️ I would love to inspire you to travel there !

I have just returned from an amazing trip to Borneo ❤️. We have had quite a few recent enquiries so I jumped at the opportunity to explore this incredibly diverse and special region.

Our journey began in Brunei with a fascinating city tour, before heading into the rainforests and rivers of Borneo. Seeing orangutans both in the wild and at the wonderful Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre was incredibly special, and one of those experiences that will stay with me forever.

We spent time on the Kinabatangan River, staying in jungle lodges and heading out in search of wildlife. From crocodiles and hornbills to proboscis monkeys, macaques and so many other fascinating creatures, there was always something to see around the next bend.

To finish, we swapped the jungle for paradise, spending a few days on beautiful Gaya Island at the stunning Bungaraya Island Resort – the perfect place to relax and reflect on everything we’d experienced.

What I loved most about Borneo was the variety. In one trip, you can experience wildlife, adventure, culture, beautiful scenery and some truly special places to stay. It’s a destination that feels wonderfully unspoilt and offers something completely different from the usual beach holiday.

If Borneo has ever been on your radar, or if you’re looking for somewhere a little more extraordinary for your next adventure, I’d be delighted to tell you more.

A little Ikos update 🤍

Dave has recently returned from the stunning Ikos Andalusia!

Between us and our lovely clients, we’ve have now visited every Ikos Resort— most recently Ikos Andalucía and Ikos Porto Petro — and they really are consistently excellent.

What we (and our clients) love is how easy it all feels… calm, beautifully run, amazing food and just the right level of understated luxury. People go once and tend to go back — which always says everything.

What we notice with Ikos is how effortless it feels. Even when they’re busy, they never feel crowded… just calm, polished and beautifully run. The food is exceptional (proper restaurants, not just “all inclusive”), the service is spot on, and there’s a quiet sense of luxury throughout without anything feeling overdone.

It’s also one of the very few brands we confidently recommend time and time again — our clients go once and tend to go back, which says everything. We simply don’t get negative feedback, just lovely messages when people return home.

And then there are the little extras that make it feel that bit more special — dining out locally, a gentle cycle along the coast, or just knowing everything has been thought of so you can completely switch off.

If you’re quietly thinking about a break somewhere warm, safe and easy this year, Ikos is always a beautiful option to have in mind.

We would be happy to advise which Ikos would suit you best 💕

Happy Easter everyone 🐣✨

We’ve just got back from the most incredible adventure with Quark Expeditions onboard Ultramarine… and wow, Patagonia really is something else 💙

This wasn’t your typical cruise – think remote fjords, dramatic landscapes and those “I can’t believe I’m actually here” moments. We’re seeing so much more interest in expedition travel now, and it’s easy to see why… it’s proper exploring, but done in a really comfortable (and yes, slightly indulgent!) way.

There were so many highlights!

Sailing around Cape Horn and visiting the lighthouse at the very edge of the world, meeting the family who live there.

Wildlife everywhere – whales, dolphins, seabirds, Magellanic penguins, even a leopard seal and an armadillo!

We started in Buenos Aires, sailed from Ushuaia, explored the most beautiful parts of the Chilean Fjords, visited Torres del Paine National Park and finished in Santiago… all without constantly packing and unpacking (which is always a win!).

There were Zodiac landings, a helicopter flight (there are two onboard!), incredible expedition leaders who brought their extensive knowledge to everything we were seeing, and some delicious food waiting for you at the end of each day!

It’s one of those trips that’s hard to put into words – remote, special and a little bit magical ✨

If something like this has ever been on your radar, feel free to call (01564 784550) or email us on [email protected] I would be delighted to share our experience.

We’ve officially started our South American adventure! ✈️🌎

Our journey begins as we make our way to join Ultramarine, a Quark expedition ship, for an incredible voyage around Patagonia. But first stop… Rio de Janeiro 🇧🇷

If you ever find yourself with just 24 hours in Rio, here’s a perfect way to spend it:

Start early with a visit to Christ the Redeemer – it’s busy, but the views over the city are absolutely worth it.

Afterwards, grab a quick coffee at Rio Coffee House, a lovely little spot serving great local artisan coffee.

Head up to Santa Teresa, one of Rio’s most charming neighbourhoods, for lunch at Bar do Mineiro. It’s the perfect place to try traditional Brazilian dishes (and their caipirinhas are excellent!).

In the afternoon, make your way to Sugarloaf Mountain for those iconic Rio views. One tip — buy the fast pass tickets… you’ll thank yourself later.

Finish the day with dinner at Zazá Bistrô for some fabulous local dishes, then take a stroll along the lively promenade at Copacabana Beach. The market stalls, music and beach bars make it a great place to soak up the atmosphere as the sun goes down.

Rio really is an incredible city — vibrant, colourful and full of energy. And this is just the beginning… Buenos Aires next!

A bit of a personal one 💛

We’re really proud to feature in this month’s Knowle Parish Magazine, sharing the story of how Dave and I met at Knowle Church over 20 years ago and how that connection eventually led to our business.

It also reflects on how the values we’ve built over time still influence how we work today — a lovely moment to pause and look back at where it all started.

We’re absolutely loving this beautiful video created for us by Ama Waterways 🤍

Their exotic destinations are truly inspirational … and their Colombia river cruise has officially made it onto our bucket list ✨

This is exactly why we love river cruising — immersive, effortless, and beautifully paced, with the chance to experience destinations right at their heart.

We love Ama !💕

Happy Christmas everyone! 🎄

We have had a busy end to the year attending events, talks, and showcases to keep up with what’s happening in the travel world — and of course, exploring some amazing places ourselves along the way!

Some travel trends that have stood out:

🌍 Luxury adventure travel is on the rise
Trips that mix comfort with unique experiences are becoming more popular — and it’s something we’ve seen first-hand. This year, we travelled to Galapagos, the Arctic (Greenland & Svalbard), and southern Africa.
Next year, we’ll be heading to Patagonia and Antarctica, among other destinations.

More travellers are after small-group trips with special experiences, like private or out-of-hours visits to iconic sites.

🏯Operators are designing trips that feel more personal — this is a common theme throughout with everyone we have met with.

🏔️ Unique, one-off experiences
Some trips are only happening in 2026 — for example, the Rocky Mountaineer will offer a special Jasper/Banff route because of the World Cup in Canada. Perfect for anyone who’s got it on their bucket list!

It’s been fascinating to see how travel is evolving — people want experiences that are memorable, personal, and meaningful.

Thank you for all your amazing support in 2025, it is deeply appreciated. We wish everyone a very happy Christmas 🎄 and a 2026 full of adventures, big or small! ✨

Love Sandra, Dave and Georgina ###
