Even on a grey day, the Loch Affric loop (about 5-6 hours of easy walking) is stunning. There is even a golden sands beach halfway around for a nice dip to cool off.

We are so lucky to be so close to stunning Glen Affric

Glen Affric is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful glens. It is also one of the best examples of the Caledonian Forest that once covered much of Scotland.

2025 marks 75 years of public forestry conservation work in Glen Affric. We currently look after around 68 square miles of the central and lower parts of the glen.

Over the years we have worked with other landowners, communities and volunteer groups to protect and restore this special place through planting and allowing natural regeneration of Scots pine and native broadleaves.

We spent a wonderful afternoon (including a lovely afternoon tea) at visitdundreggan. It really is a special place and well worth a trip from Lochletter Lodges. The visitor/information centre if fully accessible and even one of their trails is designed to be accessible. We will be back as an afternoon was not enough time to explore Dundreggan Rewilding Centre.
