Travel reminder for Greece this summer! 🇬🇷

There’s currently no requirement for UK travellers to go through the EU’s new Entry/Exit System (EES) in Greece this summer!

As the rollout across the Schengen Area is still being phased in you are likely to experience longer waiting times at some airports and border crossing points, particularly during peak travel periods.

However, for now, border entry procedures in Greece are expected to remain unchanged for this summer!

As always, requirements can change quickly, so it’s worth checking the latest guidance from official sources (like the FCDO or your airline) before you travel.

Beautiful Bruges 🇧🇪

A superb city break that felt oddly close yet enchantingly different!

With its cobbled streets, winding canals and beers a plenty, we had a blast! 💥

Here’s a list of our recommendations;

🚂 Travel - so easily accessible via (only 35-mins from Folkestone) and then 1.5 hour drive from Calais! Or take the via Brussels

🚤 A boat trip on the canal is a must - they run the trips along the canal regularly and there are lots of spots you can join from. They all cost the same - €15/adult and €9/child. The captain also gives a guided talk and points out all the things you wouldn’t spot from the street

🔔 Climb the Belfry of Bruges - yes, it has 366 steps but the views are worth it and the history is incredible! 800-years old and still working well! Stay up there for the bell ringing to watch the magic happen - they chime every 15-minutes

🍺 Bars - where to start! There’s your classic river beer terrace to your wine bars with a Curious and Bra Bar in-between (yes, I spelt that right - check out my stories!)

🧇 Food - I don’t think you can go too wrong! If you can head on the back streets away from the tourist traps…(carrot, bean sprouts and broccoli on a veg pizza was a new one for me!!) then you’ll find some right treats;

🍟 Museums - From fine art to history there’s also the Fries and Chocolate museum too! Facts you never knew you needed to know!! .museum

🌊 Twin it with the beach - don’t forget the coast is only a 30-min drive or bus trip away if you want to mix it up from the city. There’s a very cool beach bar in Wenduine Beach -

💤 We loved our stay - the most perfect location right in town and walking distance to everywhere. They are dog friendly and have parking!

🐾 Pets - Bruges is so pet friendly! We were greeted with smiles and bowls of water for our pup at most places in Bruges!
