Time is precious. Spend it well.

It’s something I’ve come to properly appreciate in recent years.

The older I get, the more I notice it’s never the stuff we hold in our hands…it’s the memories that stick.

Ask someone to think back five years and remember what they got for their birthday…most will draw a blank.

Ask about a trip from around then, and suddenly they’re telling you about the indifferent weather, the ridiculous selfie or just that wonderful sunset moment.

That’s the real difference. Stuff is just stuff. Travel memories last.

And in my honest opinion…that’s time well spent.

This family got in touch about a month before they wanted to travel…not much time to plan a holiday, especially somewhere new to them.

I'd actually stayed at the hotel I recommended myself a few years back…Tivoli La Caleta in Costa Adeje, Tenerife. So I already knew exactly where to point them.

They only wanted bed and breakfast, so I flagged a handful of nearby restaurants for evenings, and with pool days in mind, Guilty is definitely the spot for lunch and drinks.

Sometimes the best recommendations come from having actually been there.

Thinking about Tenerife, or anywhere else? Let's chat.

Still think it’s too early to book your 2027 holiday?

Here’s reason one…you get the first pick of the hotels and your ideal room types, before they’re gone.

There’s two more reasons to watch…number three might be the one that changes your mind 👀

No rush, no pressure.

Just more choice, while there’s still choice to have…especially for the summer!

Which one would catch you out?

I used to think Atlantis Bahamas was just one big waterpark resort.

But it's actually four different hotels in one, each with its own feel.

I already had a couple booked in for 8 nights at another lovely beachfront resort in Nassau, but they wanted something a little more special to end the trip.

So I suggested The Cove Atlantis.

It's the quieter side of the resort. Private cabanas and a much slower pace than the rest of the property.

They're heading out this November, and they can't wait.

Turns out there's more than one way to stay at Atlantis.

Thinking about ending a trip somewhere special? Send me a message and let's talk it through.

"I didn't have the capacity to do our trip justice."

That's exactly why this family got in touch.

Work had gone manic, plans for a big birthday trip had stalled, and the idea of researching flights, hotels, etc from scratch just wasn't realistic.

We looked at a few destinations before narrowing it down to Thailand, then three very different areas within Koh Samui, until we landed on Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort.

Quiet, beautifully positioned and the kind of special this birthday deserved, without blowing the budget.

This is the part of the job I love most. Taking the pressure off, doing the legwork behind the scenes, and handing over a trip that's simply ready to be enjoyed.

If work's crazy and a big trip is in your thinking, but the thought of planning it feels like one more job…that's what I'm here for.

Where should I go in Thailand, when should I go, and how much should I try to fit in... probably the three questions I get asked most when someone enquires.

There isn’t one straightforward answer to any of them…it really depends on the kind of trip you’re after and where you’re headed.

And that’s exactly why I’m here…to help you figure out what actually fits.

Which one would’ve caught you out?

Some places you honestly don’t forget the sound of.

Drifting down the Sok Canal in Khao Sok National Park was a genuine moment for us last year…bamboo raft, lush rainforest either side, and nothing but water and birdsong.

I remember a troop of cheeky monkeys watched us from the trees, and at one point our boatman quietly pointed out a snake curled along a branch we’d have completely missed.

Moments like this are exactly why I love planning trips like this one…the ones that go beyond the beach and into somewhere still wild.

Thailand isn’t just islands and temples. Sometimes it’s this.

Thailand, GTA style.

This AI art trend has been popping up on my socials, so I had to try it on my fave destination.

And how cool has this one turned out?

There's a reason Thailand was the easy pick. It's always had a special place in my heart, ever since Mrs G and I spent our honeymoon in Bangkok and Koh Samui. We went back again last year to celebrate my 50th in Khao Lak.

It's in our story…and it'll keep being part of it as we plan to explore further in the future.

It's also part of why I love what I do as a travel advisor.

Every trip I help plan becomes part of someone's life, whether that's the holiday you'll always remember for a big birthday, the one your kids still talk about years later, or the destination that just keeps calling you back.

So, what's the one destination that will always have a piece of your heart? Drop it in the comments, I'd love to know.
