🇩🇰 Day 7 – Skagen, Denmark!

What a cute little seaside town! We started our day at Grenen, the northernmost tip of Denmark, where we hopped aboard the Sandormen (Sandworm), a fun tractor-pulled wagon that took us across the sand to the spot where the North Sea and Baltic Sea waters meet. Of course, we had to stick our feet in the freezing cold water! 🥶🌊

Next up were a couple of lighthouses and the fascinating Buried Church (Den Tilsandede Kirke). Built in the 1300s, the church was slowly swallowed by shifting sand dunes until it was abandoned in 1795. Today, only the white tower remains standing above the sand!

We finished the day wandering through Skagen’s charming streets, lined with traditional yellow houses and red-tiled roofs, before settling into a local pub for lunch and a few b**rs. 🍻

Such a picturesque little town, full of charm and character. Another fun day exploring somewhere new!

🚢 Days 5 & 6: Hamburg to Copenhagen! 🇩🇰

We said goodbye to Hamburg and headed back out to sea for another full day of cruising. A little more rocking and rolling along the way, but thankfully nothing like our first day! 🌊

Next stop… Copenhagen, Denmark! 🇩🇰

We kicked off the day with a canal tour, taking in the beautiful city from the water. Then we got lucky and stumbled upon the Royal Guard procession! Perfect timing without even planning it. 💂

From there, we wandered through the charming streets of Old Town, did a little exploring, and enjoyed a classic Danish lunch. One thing you can’t miss in Copenhagen is all the bicycles! 🚲 We learned that 62% of commutes are made by bike. And judging by the number of cyclists everywhere, we believe it!

Of course, the day wouldn’t be complete without a little adventure trying to get back to the ship! Fighting the crowds and hunting down an Uber was probably the most exhausting part of the day. 😂

Another fun day of exploring, making memories, and enjoying this adventure together. We all made it back onboard happy, tired, and ready to put our feet up!

Next stop… Skagen! 🇩🇰

🇩🇪 Hamburg, Germany – Cruise Days 3 & 4! 🚢🍻

After a rocky start to our cruise and a delayed arrival, we FINALLY made it to Hamburg late in the afternoon!

Apparently, 2,600 of our fellow passengers had the same idea, we were all ready to get off the ship! 😂 With no shuttles or taxis to be found, we decided to hoof it the 3 miles into town. A little shopping for essentials, a few miles on our feet, and we called it a day!

Day 2 in Hamburg was much more enjoyable! We all headed out on the Hop-On Hop-Off bus to explore the city and take in the sights. We stopped at the beautiful St. Michael’s Church for an incredible organ concert 🎶 and, of course, made time for a proper German b**r hall lunch! 🍺🥨

A little adventure, a little culture, and some good German b**r. Hamburg, you made us work for it, but we had a great time! ❤️

Our first full day at sea had us rocking and rolling! 🌊🚢 Mother Nature made sure we knew we were on the ocean as we made our way to Hamburg!

We’re kicking off a 27-day cruise adventure that will take us through Northern Europe for a couple of weeks before crossing the Atlantic and heading back to the States for the first time in a year and a half! 🇺🇸

It’s hard to believe it’s been that long since we left! We’ve loved every minute of our travels, but we’re really looking forward to spending the next couple of months catching up with family and friends. ❤️

But first… more ports, new adventures, and hopefully a little calmer seas! 🥂⚓

Our cruise adventure with Jimmy & Morgan is officially underway! 🚢🥂

We kicked things off with a transfer from London to Southampton, but not without a little sightseeing along the way! We convinced our driver to make a quick stop at Windsor Castle 🏰, and WOW! So much bigger and more impressive than we expected!

Once in Southampton, we boarded the ship, got settled in, and were ready to set sail! But apparently Mother Nature had other plans. 🌬️🌊 Storm Boelo decided to crash the party, delaying our departure by 8 hours!

Not quite the smooth sailing we had in mind, but we had good company, a ship full of food and drinks, and nowhere else we needed to be! 🍷😂

Let the adventure begin! 🚢🌍

Day 2 in London! 🇬🇧

Started with a visit to the beautiful Westminster Abbey, followed by an unexpectedly LONG walk through the Tube. 🤣 Found a Bavarian pub to wait out the rain with a pint or two… but the rain won! ☔🍻

Wrapped up our London adventure with a fantastic performance of Moulin Rouge! 🎭❤️

We’re off to Southampton to board our ship for 27 days of cruising in the morning!🚢🥂

Our Dads have joined us in London for a couple of days before we set sail on our 27-day cruise! ❤️ It’s been a year and a half since we’ve seen them, so this reunion was long overdue!

We spent a fantastic day exploring London with John from Black Cab Tours. A little Beatles nostalgia, a bit of royal sightseeing, and all the iconic London spots along the way! 🇬🇧 From famous landmarks to hidden gems, we saw a little bit of everything, shared lots of laughs, and made some great memories.

London, laughter, a little rock ’n’ roll, and our favorite guys…doesn’t get much better than that! ❤️🥂

A beautiful day exploring Burghley House and Stamford! 🇬🇧

You might recognize Burghley House from Netflix’s The Diplomat! Even more stunning in person, with its gorgeous architecture and grounds.

We enjoyed a lovely walk between Burghley House and Stamford, a charming little town full of cute shops, cozy pubs, and great spots to grab lunch.

Beautiful scenery, a little wandering, and a good pub lunch. Our kind of day!

Breast cancer continues to impact young women at increasing rates. This special evening will bring together members of the community for a meaningful conversation on breast cancer awareness and care.

Hosted at Grande Station, a beloved neighborhood restaurant known for its scratch kitchen, hyper-local ingredients, and warm hospitality, guests will enjoy a thoughtfully curated four-course dinner in an inviting setting.

The evening will feature a conversation with Carol A. Sartorius, PhD, Professor of Pathology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and a leading researcher in hormone receptor-positive breast cancer, who will share insights into her work and the latest advancements in breast cancer research, treatment, and care.

Day 2 in York! 🏰👻

Another day exploring this charming medieval city! We walked along the historic city walls, wandered through the beautiful Museum Gardens, and discovered some unexpected visitors along the way.

York’s Ghosts in the Gardens brought a little spooky fun to our stroll, with ghostly wire sculptures tucked among the ruins, gardens, and historic streets. Such a clever way to bring York’s haunted past to life!

A little history, beautiful scenery, and a few friendly ghosts made for another great day in York!
