I’ve had a stack of Georgian floorboards knocking about for years without much of a plan (as you do)
So this weekend I thought I’d line a garage wall with them, then it seemed a good idea to put a few “in-stock” signs up. I’m really pleased with the result and my old Land Rover looks right at home 😄. Well at least until Janet wants to put her car back that is 😂

A good feeling today.

Four years ago we used a seed sweep from a local species rich hay meadow to help restore some of ours. The fields are steep and the best way to rake and broadcast the seed was the traditional way, by hand! It was hard work.
They did amazingly well and today DTI on behalf of Nidderdale National Landscape swept those same meadows for our first ever seed harvest. Lots of different grasses, Yellow Rattle, Cats Ear and Plantain in abundance with all of the others you could wish for. Not to mention bugs by the million in the catch box.
This harvest will be going over to some fields near Masham. It’s wonderful to know that our fields are now healthy enough to make a difference somewhere else 😂
