Hi- thank you so much for all the kind thoughts and messages about dads passing. We have been overwhelmed by the amount of support and comments received.
We will be celebrating dads life on Thursday 1st October at 12:30 at Huddersfield Crematorium, 64 Fixby Road, Huddersfield, HD2 2JF, followed by a gathering at the Nags Head, New Hey Road, Fixby, Huddersfield, HD2 2EA.
Family flowers only please with donations going to the Alzheimer’s Society.

we travelled to Alton Towers on your double decker last week and the Sky Rider at Alton Towers decided to breakdown at 1445 with one of our students on, they didnt get it up and running until 1630 so it was about 1700 when we got back to the bus.
I wanted to let you know that your driver Ryan was amazing- so patient, understanding and reassuring with staff and students, we were so grateful for his kindness - he is a credit to your company.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our founder and dad Eric, he had suffered with alzheimer’s and advanced dementia for the last few years and he passed peacefully last night 07/09/2026 at 2202 at Scissett Mount Care Home where he resided for the last 15 months.
Dad worked in the bus and coach industry from leaving school at 16 in the family business Stotts Tours Oldham which his mum and dad started in the 1940s until 1979 when he sold his shares to his brother to pursue other business interests.
He then returned to the industry which he knew and loved forming E Stott & Sons in Huddersfield in 1984 and built the business for and with us to what it is today which we are truly grateful for. He is now at peace and will be missed so much by both of us and daughter in laws Donna and Juliet, all his family and friends and all those at E Stott & Sons Ltd.
He was a true legend and a bit of a character!!
