Ilfracombe Sea Safari Based at Ilfracombe pier on the North Devon coast our passenger boat trips depart daily from February-October and are suitable for all ages.

We run a ten metre Humber RIB "Pioneer" and two eleven metre Humber RIB’S "Lundy Explorer" & “Voyager” they will take you at speeds of up to 20 knots along the coast in complete comfort in search of dolphins, seals and porpoises all with the back drop of our coastline of Outstanding Natural Beauty including Lundy Island. Due to the exceptional stability of the vessel the trips are even suitable fo

r those who don't usually travel well on boats. Escape the crowds and join us for an unforgettable experience. We provide lifejackets but recommend you dress according to the weather conditions , so you are able to travel whatever the weather in complete safety and comfort! All of our skippers are first aid trained and hold RYA commercially endorsed qualifications as well as various other navigation and diving qualifications and are all involved or have been involved with Ilfracombe Lifeboat station. All our Ribs run on twin 300hp & 325hp Suzuki 4 stroke engines which have also won a 3* rating for emissions for a four stroke. So here at Ilfracombe Sea Safari's we do our upmost to protect the environment and the wildlife that lives along our coastline by using the best equipment available to us as we believe it is key. All 3 Boats are licensed for 12 passengers and 2 crew. We also have a 12 meter catamaran 'Sea Swift' that can take you swimming with the seals, sightseeing and also fishing. Our boats are also available for private charter.

There’s something special about heading out along the rugged North Devon coastline, where dramatic cliffs meet the open sea and wildlife is never far away. Our Seals & Lighthouse Safari takes you past the iconic Bull Point Lighthouse before continuing to some of the best local seal-spotting locations, where Atlantic grey seals can often be seen resting on the rocks or playing in the water.

With breathtaking coastal scenery, fascinating local history, and the chance of spotting dolphins along the way, every trip is different and every trip is unforgettable. 🌊🐬🦭

This scenic coastal safari heads west from Ilfracombe, hugging the coastline and taking in some of North Devon’s most iconic landmarks, with regular opportunities to spot wildlife along the way - this is our tip for the best chance of dolphin spotting too!
