Happy Hope Cove Weekend 🌊☀️

One of our favourite weekends in the South Devon calendar is here, with Hope Cove set to come alive over the August Bank Holiday.

From this evening through to Monday, expect a packed programme of seaside fun, from beach games and sandcastle competitions to live music and plenty more.

We’re also very happy to be supporting Hope Cove Weekend again this year, and are proud sponsors of the Dog Fancy Dress – undoubtedly one of the weekend’s most entertaining events. We can’t wait to see this year’s four-legged contenders take to the stage!

Most of the activities and entertainment are free, with donations helping to raise funds for local charities and community organisations – a brilliant celebration of this very special corner of South Devon.

The South Devon coast, best explored on foot 🌊🥾

We might be biased, but we think South Devon is home to some of the most beautiful stretches of the South West Coast Path. Crystal-clear waters, hidden coves, secret beaches and, importantly, plenty of perfectly placed refreshment stops along the way.

With the summer crowds beginning to disperse but plenty of warmth still in the air, September is a particularly lovely time to pull on your walking boots and explore. Quieter paths, lingering sunshine and mile after mile of coastline to discover.

Already thinking about the next break? 🍂

With the return to school just around the corner, we know it might feel a *little* early to start counting down to the next holiday… but October Half Term will be here before we know it.

Think crisp coastal walks, quieter beaches, cosy afternoons by the fire and plenty of time outdoors before retreating somewhere warm and welcoming.

Whether it’s a few days by the sea or a full week of family adventures, now’s a very good time to get October Half Term in the diary.
