The beaches on this side of the peninsula tend to all be dog-friendly, with many unspoilt beaches and is only 30/40 minute walk (1.4 miles) from the very popular Beesands beach with its own gastro pub the Cricket Inn and the wonderful seafood eatery known as Britannia for its incredibly, delicious and very local seafood (about 30 seconds from the beach!). Equally accessible to Salcombe and Dartmouth situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and renowned for its stunning coastline, popular with sailing and boating enthusiasts. Much of the clifftop land has been acquired by the National Trust, a haven for bird watchers and walkers.
