Cath was lucky enough to have a visit on Celebrity Apex recently...

This ship absolutely blew me away, the most innovative, modern ship I have ever been on. The public spaces were incredible and so well thought out. My absolute fav space was Eden, this was at the back of the ship, with floor to ceiling windows, so the views were amazing. In Eden you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner, you would need to pre book. The furniture ( lettuce chairs), all of the decoration makes it look like a rainforest, it’s a very calming space. The atrium was spectacular, again very well thought out, so much going on for everyone. The flying carpet, wasn’t sure about it until I saw it. This is a restaurant and can be lowered for tender ports. Another great idea from Celebrity. The roof top garden, so many spaces for people to just have quiet, or want some music, again something for everyone. I learnt so much about Celebrity from this ship visit. I will definitely be recommending this ship.

Jade has recently had the opportunity to visit Saga’s Spirit of Discovery, and what an impressive ship she is.
During her visit, she explored a variety of venues, including the stylish Britannia Lounge, the beautiful East to West speciality restaurant, the impressive Playhouse theatre, and the tranquil spa and wellness facilities. Each space has its own unique character, offering guests plenty of places to relax, socialise, and unwind.
The public areas feel spacious and welcoming, with comfortable lounges, attractive outdoor deck spaces, and stunning sea views throughout. The cabins are bright, modern, and thoughtfully designed, creating a real home-from-home feel.
The ship’s dining venues were another highlight, showcasing the quality and attention to detail that Saga guests have come to expect.
Overall, Spirit of Discovery is a beautiful ship that offers a refined, all-inclusive cruising experience with an atmosphere that feels both luxurious and wonderfully relaxed. It was a pleasure to visit.

🎉 Summer in Lee is in full swing! 🎉

It’s fantastic to see Lee-on-the-Solent such a hive of activity today! ☀️🌊

🎡 The funfair is buzzing, 🛍️ the market is bustling, and our fantastic local shops, cafés and businesses are welcoming visitors.

✈️ And what a sight seeing the People’s Air Display across the Solent earlier today — absolutely fantastic! 🇬🇧👏

There’s still plenty happening until 11pm tonight and all day tomorrow, so why not come down and enjoy everything Lee has to offer! ❤️

🎉✈️ SUMMER IN LEE 2026 – IT’S HERE! 🌞🌊

What a fantastic weekend we have ahead in Lee-on-the-Solent as we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Summer in Lee! 🎉

Organised by the fantastic Montserrat Events team, there is a brilliant programme of entertainment taking place today and tomorrow for everyone to enjoy! 🎶💃

✈️ TODAY – SATURDAY 22 AUGUST
The big highlight has to be the inaugural People’s Air Display, taking to the skies from 12 noon over the Solent! 🚁🛩️

Expect to see an amazing selection of aircraft, including the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Dakota, Spitfire, Seafire, Siai-Marchetti, the Gazelle Squadron Display Team, Wingwalkers and more! 🇬🇧✈️

And there’s plenty more happening throughout the day, with live music, children’s entertainment and activities continuing right through until this evening. 🎸🎤

🎶 TOMORROW – SUNDAY 23 AUGUST
The music continues with another packed programme, including the Children’s Pirates Disco, Taverner’s Ukulele, Jazz Avenue, Honey Honeys, Rocks N’ GroyneS, James Westerby, Jennifer Parker Lummis and The Grooves! 🎵

Jade was lucky enough to have a different day in the office on Wednesday.

Guernsey day trip!

We left Southampton Airport with Aurigny (the state owned flag carrier airline)at 8am and in a taxi to our first stop by 8.45am!
Our first stop was the St Pierre Park hotel, this hotel is on beautiful grounds which include a spa and a tennis court. With its indoor pool it’s a great location for families and couples.
Next we were taken to the port to board our rib that took us around the island and other surrounding islands we even saw some seals! I highly recommend this trip it’s a great way to see some beautiful sights!
After the rib we walked through the town to the stunning Old Government House. This hotel is beautifully decorated and has lots of history. We stayed here for lunch which was delicious!
After lunch we went on a jeep safari of the island, the sights were breathtaking and learnt about the history of Guernsey and I highly recommend this trip is was 10/10!
We then ended our day the local gin distillery and of course had to sample some of the local flavours!
Our flight home was at 6.40pm and landed back in to Southampton Airport at 7.10pm.
One of the busiest days I have had but equally enjoyable
